It'd hilarious if Transformers 3 ends up with a higher RT score.

Everything has to come to an end at some point. This is the most logical one to bet on, but still disappointed it didn't defy our expectations.

CRITICS are giving Cars 2 bad reviews for 3 REASONS:

- The First Film
- Mater
- And the most important: because the film doesn't make them cry, that's stupid, imo, not all pixar films might end with the same treatment,,, still gonna watch it,,,, wanna see it by myself,,,

I don't read reviews of movies I plan on seeing.

The first film has no impact on this. If Cars 2 had exceeded expectations like TS3 there would be "Never doubt Pixar", "Redeemed themselves" or whatever else.

Mater is the worst character to come out of Pixar and, one could even include Dreamworks.

What kind of reason is that? Come on, we all knew this had a higher chance of happening, let's cool on the spin.

It basically could end up with Shrek 3's ratings

I'd just like to point out that Bad Teacher is currently 1% away from matching Cars 2's RT score, and has been passing it every once and a while throughout the day.

I remember when Spiderman 3 was a WTF fresh because after the mega reviews for the first two films, they came into the 3rd a bit too easy to give a thumbs up, perhaps because all along they were going with the flow of reviewing the first two just a bit too highly

I think you could make the same case for Pixar. That they'd be more likely to give this a thumbs up because of their history and the expectations of a usual Pixar 90%-er and not wanting to look stupid if they were the only ones not liking it. So to see it at 52%, below Spiderman 3, makes me think this is a rank piece of shit.

I wonder if Pixar deliberately shit the bed because Disney forced them to make this. Wasn't that part of the deal they struck a few years ago - they had to make Cars 2?

No. American critics love superheroes more often than not.

Spider Man is one of the most overrated franchises of all time. It's just laughable and I actually liked SM3 more than SM1/2 when I first saw it.

I personally expect Transformers 3 to land in the high 40's so...
