That will be the top 5. X-men will drop hard with around 10m.

Re: June 17-19 Predictions
GREEN LANTERN = No one cares about this movie, not 1 person out there and the latest TV spot they have is the absolute fucking worst.. I'm gonna throw a random number out on this one and say less than 40 Million for the weekend cause this just looks fucking silly now.. I'm all for a little suspension of disbelief and all, but the CGI content in this trailer is too much..
The problem with Green Lantern is that, I think some comic book fans are really pumped for it (more so than they were for X-men or Thor), but it's not a universal demand. I think it's limited in how far it can expand it's audience.
Mr. Popper's Penguins could go either way, but after the trailer response it got from young adults at X-Men, I'm going to go high on it and say it has a good shot at 30M. Kids will go for the penguins, and some older teens and young adults might go for Jim and his silly faces. But it will likely get destroyed by Cars the following week.

Agree with SolcC9. GL has a rabid fanbase that will keep its OW respectable but outside of that there isnt much interest.
Green Lantern - $39.9 million Mr. Popper's Penguins - $24.3 million
The last few commercials I've seen for Green Lantern were really, really cool. The best marketing I've seen for this movie so far. And there's definitely awareness for it, it's everywhere. Interest? No clue.

Really??? I'm not hearing 1 peep out of anyone clamoring to see this movie.. What's the tracking for this??? Shouldn't there have been screenings by now??

Popper's Penguins is being slightly under-predicted I think The trailer keeps getting good reactions. Keep in mind folks that Carrey has had a fairly consistent draw with family films. It's not going to do less anything than low 20s and will likely do high 20s and even maybe 30m+.
Agreed Poppers have been tracking quite good consistently. Carrey is definitely a factor for family audience, Penguins (specially dancing ones as advertised) can pull in kids. I can see a 30m opening, though it should drop hard next weekend, otherwise it needs a great WOM

I don't see how Poppers does well at the BO. Families are likely going to skip it in favour of Cars 2
