 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Oh boy, they are playing like shit tonight. It's just so frustrating how they start so flat every damn game but tonight they have dug a big hole. This is similar to their first game in the Memphis series. They got this big hole and could never break out. This time they can't even get close at all. Very sick tonight .

Didn't think any team could beat the Heat, but now I've been swayed to believe that Dallas should be considered the favorite to win it all.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Embarrassing loss last night.
Always having trouble closing out games but seemed to get it done more often than not this season and were pretty good in OTs too. Unfortunately, we were missing a very critical piece to the puzzle and the after the game radio guys brought this up as well. No James Harden.
We had a 15 point lead with about 5-6 minutes to go when Harden fouls out. It gets cut to around 10 with 2 minutes to go when Dirk swooshes a quick 3 cutting it to 7 and then Westbrook bricks 2 freethrows which almost never happens. Anyway, we were destined to be doomed in OT because over those last few minutes and OT we scored like 6 points to 20 something points. That was the crazy part. No offense vs tough Dallas defense. Finally, that last Thunder possession with 6 seconds to go has bugged us all season because that's the only thing we do in that circumstance. Get the ball to Durant and he shoots some extremely long shot at the end. Drive to the basket or find someone actually open to try to make it instead.
Anyway, we had a great season and hopefully we can improve and maybe find another scorer to take Sefolosha's place in the starting lineup in the future.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
This has to be put on the coaching somewhat. How hard is it for Westbrook to drive and kick it out to Durant? Shouldn't that be the play they run everytime down the stretch?
Anyways, why is a shooting guard fouling out in the 4th against Dallas?

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Idk what happened with Harden. He was in foul trouble early and the fouls just caught up with him quicker than expected. I didn't even realize he had 5 fouls when he did foul out, but even then I could sense it was gonna be trouble especially when it was down to 2 minutes and the Thunder were floundering about unable to score a basket or get to the foul line.

I turned the game off when Collison got called for that garbage foul at the end of the 4th.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
There was no foul. Maybe you should watch it again. There was never a pull, nor a foul. And IF it was a foul, Shawn Marion fouled Kevin Durant 20+ times.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Come on Chip... Don't bring the officiating into it. This was a well officiated game and the Thunder only have to blame themselves for coughing this game up.
I know you have to play that game since you have been against the Mavs all along, but they and especially Dirk are playing darn well and are clearly the better team than OKC

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Chicago has the same problem Cleveland did for the last several years. Their entire offense is built around one guy, and when they face a defense that can stop that guy they have nothing else to go to.
Go Mavs! You're the only one left who can stop them.

As good as Miami is... they're NOT a great offensive team. Despite their players. But Chicago is easily the worst offensive team left.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Lakers hired Mike Brown. Great choice to coach a "doesn't know he's not the best anymore/gunning for scoring records" shot jacking Kobe. There'll be no point trying to discipline Kobe or tell him what to do from this point, so you might as well have a yes man.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
What a joke. For the 2nd game they can't close this shit out. I'm so sick of dirk. I can't stand Miami but I've had enough of dirk and his glorious free throw shooting.
See how once again they got stuck shooting a deep three to durant. It's just sick. At least if you go inside you may turn a three point play that way.
Very frustrating late thunder performances.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
Can the Thunder improve their team in the offseason? They seem to have a good starter and backup at every position. I guess they just need to learn how to actually play with each other lol.

 Re: NBA 2010-2011 Season
I wasn't complaining about free throw attempts just dirks own free throw %.
That's why I described it as "glorious." ------ The post game radio hosts brought up how they thought the thunder should play better as a team in the future because that trade did tweak our starting lineup late in the season but more tweaks may be in store concerning sefoloshAs position. Plus, Perkins should be 100% and hopefully be a bit more athletic next season.

Hoping Thabo gets better at shooting 3's, and Harden can replace him in the starting rotation.
