The posters are getting ridiculous (some really, really fake-looking creatures) and I don't think I realized how much of a sci-fi film it is rather than a superhero movie.

Even master comedian Ryan Reynolds can't save this one. Anyone else feeling the same?

nope, it should do 125 at the worst. I see around 150-170 for it.

I also think $120M is the lowest I can see it going, but you never know. Out of all the superhero films coming out this summer it deffentially looks like the worst one. However, I will still see it because I'm a big GL fan. I'm OUT.

The whole "sci-fi is a hard sell" angle applies to movies like The Island. People are going to understand what Green Lantern is: a superhero movie. No way this does less than 100 mil.

This is really absurd. Even if this looks bad it will manage 45m-50m OW so I don't think it will wind up without an IM less than 2.0. Being superhero movie I don't think it will do less than 100m

4 superhero flicks in one summer, joke advertising, cheesy and campy, unknown character, rom-com star etc.

OK, after the new trailer, it makes me feel a little better about the marketing. It does look like a fun movie, just not for everyone. I'm raising the club to under $100 million.

Still no way....Ryan will definitely help appeal women and this could be a little frontloaded compared to any other superhero movie this summer. Also that the movie seems to be good so good WOM can get this stable very soon. Sub-100m is not happening....this is not even the last summer superhero movie, so this is not happening

People are on some good superhero drugs.

I think that the huge variety of aliens will appeal to kids.
I think that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds will make this appeal to women.
I think that solid reviews and marketing that keeps getting better as the incredibly complex f/x are finished will get lots of butts in seats.

I think that this club will be a massive failure.

Blake Lively? Even if she brought in all million viewers that still watch GG (and she won't of course), that's not really a big draw... She has no draw and no appeal.

This film doesnt look too good. I was looking forward to this when they announced it a couple of years back, but it doesnt look good and one of the comic book films will have to disappoint.

Thing is it still will have a decent gross just under $100m.

It looks bad to you but looks better to some (maybe a very small group).
So when you made Change Up making 180m club which no one joined (yet) is ok but if a superhero movie looks appealing to others they are kidding?

I don't see how anyone could argue this is set to do less than Green Hornet. You really think this movie has less appeal than that did? Not a chance, 120m is the absolute floor.

Easily out. There is too much talent working on this film, and too much of a good story that will appeal to mainstream audiences for this to finish with under 100M.
