Re: Full OSCARS List: Win Counts by Movie It's not hate. Everyone in the Academy votes, and I'm sure most of them don't know Pfister from Deakins from Lubezki from Savides. They just glance at a ballot and vote for which one they feel had the prettiest/coolest/most stylish look.

For example, major awards like best picture/director/actor/screenplay are worth 10X the promotional prestige of minor technical awards like sound mixing/editing or visual effects. In that more accurate system, The King's Speech won by a landslide with The Fighter a distant second, and the minor films like Inception and The Social Network barely registering at all.
