:disgust: How on earth could you possibly even fathom remaking a movie as flawless as this???

They've remade poltergeist so many times now, including its two sequels so I don't care.

When has MGM remade the original POLTERGEIST Gun??? Did any of you other than Gun catch a remake of POLTERGEIST and don't say PARANORMAL ACTIVITY, please??? :-k

I actually wouldn't mind a new version of Robocop. It's been quite a long time and it could certainly be updated. Poltergeist could also be updated with better visual effects however it obviously wouldn't be the same so I wouldn't want that one remade.

Please remake it! The original sucked :P
It's only good when watching it under the influence of drugs

I didn't mean a direct remake, other than Poltergeist 2 and 3, but all the knockoffs. They basically have just run out of different titles to use so they are back to Poltergeist.

Because they're desperate. MGM just got out of bankruptcy troubles and now they have to make a profit on the films they're deciding to greenlight. Poltergeist is a name that everyone recognizes, so it makes sense they'd want to remake it.

Whether it's good or does well, that's another story, but that's probably the thought process going on over at MGM right now.
