Post So check it out, peoples....
A local theater here has been doing all this reimaging and stuff recently...new year's resolution l guess. They redid their website, and last month they played Grease for like the whole month. So anyway, l was at the website, and l saw this image:Image

So, what do you think. l've seen Titanic and Raiders, but neither in the theaters, and l haven't seen the other 2. GWTW is like 4 hours though, and musicals generally aren't for me. and l'm not huge on Titanic.

However, are any of em REALLY worth seeing on the big screen? Maybe it's worth sitting for four hours to see GWTW for the first time 20 ft high? Same with Titanic? l'm pretty sure l'm gonna see Raiders...but, yknow...

I have never seen Gone With the Wind so I can't really say whether or not it is worth sitting four hours just to see it on the big screen, however I would still do it, because how many people can say that they have actually seen Gone With the Wind on a big screen?

As for Titanic, it's a much different movie on DVD/Video, and if that's the only place you have seen it, you should probably check it out in a theater. For me, Titanic on DVD (Even though I still like it very much) played long and somewhat boring. It doesn't play like that in a theater. It's much more alive.

For Raiders, come on, it's Raiders! I'd kill this to see on a big screen. But since you said you were probably going to see this anyways, I don't have to tell you that I would see it in a second.

Finally Chicago, if you like these types of movies then I would go see it, but personally I disliked the movie very much. I don't know why, it just didn't click with me.

Loews has had a program in place for a few years now where you can see "classic" films free on a weekly basis.

I would definitely see GWTW and TITANIC on the big screen. I'd pass on CHICAGO and probably see RAIDERS.

I would go to see Titanic (again!!) Gone With The Wind (I'd kill to see that moie in theatre!!!) and Raiders Of The Lost Ark (one of my favorite adventure movies). I've only seen Titanic in theaters, and I'd go and see it again. Gone and Raiders are on my ist of movies that I'd like to see in theatre but never will.

Chicago is inferior to Moulin Rouge in terms of musicals, so why is it being called a "Classic"

I'd see Titanic.

I haven't seen a movie that was as impressive as that one was on the big screen for a long time.

I've seen TITANIC many moons ago and don't remember much about it, save for the tit shot. Natch.

I might have seen RAIDERS and I don't think I liked it. OK, that didn't make sense. I seen a Indiana Jones movie quite a while ago and whatever one it was, it didn't strike my fancy.

As for CHICAGO and GONE WITH THE WIND, I haven't seen either.
