Best Picture Simulation (Year 2)
Howdy folks,
I am going to run the Best Picture simulation again this year...you guys had by far the most dramatic race last year, so hopefully it'll be true again. The simulation will replicate exactly how the Academy votes for Best Picture. We had about 25 ballots last year, and hopefully we can top that this year.

Try to at least rank 3 movies!
When do you need to do it?Sometime in the next 2 weeks. I'll set a tentative deadline of
Sunday, February 13th so if you want to watch a couple more movies you have time to do so and your vote will still count. Results hopefully on Valentine's Day.
What am I going to do with it?Like last year, I am going to simulate the Best Picture race with some pretty graphs. I'm also going to do it at a couple of other forums so hopefully we can have around 200 entries in total and I'll post those graphs as well. Perhaps you think the race will be predictable, and you're most likely right, but we can look at other things too besides just who wins -- like where votes for certain movies end up.
Last year, we had Inglourious Basterds with a come-from-behind victory over Avatar, boosted by votes from 3rd place finisher An Education.
PS: I would ask that you NOT post your top 10 here, so that we can have completely uninhibited and untainted voting.
