Why would he want to impress trixster? He is hardly a year ahead of him.

Argos and yoshue perhaps. What is the goal of most WOKJ posters? To restate uninteresting blurbs written by bad critics with even less insight?

 Re: The Fighter
Bale nailed it in his speech at the Globes. Wahlberg's the quiet anchor of this movie. He's very effective.

 Re: The Fighter
Bradley stowed aboard. The Dark Shape was too busy lusting after Matthew Morrison.

That's him in the foreground, with me and The Dark Shape... ...and here's Shack (who stowed away with me) and Argos... We had better boxing matches up on deck after lunch, than any we saw in The Fighter.

 Re: The Fighter
9/10 -> A-
"Another boxing/sports movie about an underdog with family problems... Yawn..." Pretty much those were my thought before watching this movie.
"A movie with a soul." That's what I was thinking after watching the movie.
From the opening scene to the end, this movie was masterfully directed and brilliantly acted by all four leads - I especially think Wahlberg was completely undeservedly ignored. He didn't have such a meaty character as Bale, Leo or Admas, but he was so subtle and brisk and without him the other three wouldn't have anyone to bounce off so good as they did.
The only thing that I felt was lacking was the story. It was just a generic Hollywood sport underdog story mould.
It's a shame that in a year with some masterful and auteur visions like Aronofsky's "Black Swan", Fincher's "The Social Network" and Russell's "The Fighter", the Oscar goes into the hands of Hooper's desperately flashy and annoyingly showoffy work on "The King's Speech".

 Re: The Fighter
Yeah, Russell's humanism really shines in this film. Haters be damned, this was the best ensemble acting I saw last year.
