Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.)
Croatia is a small market, but this article here, claims HP7.1 had the best opening weekend in 2010. and third best opening ever (or at least since 2003. when apparently tracking started). 4-day opening puts it at 39 800 tickets sold or 1.110.999,54 kn (based on today's currency value that would equal to $203.588,05). This is the first time I've ever seen a report on a weekend number here. I have no idea where BOM gets the charts for Croatia because there are no official public reports of any kind (not even approximations) of box office here. It will be interesting to see will the BOM number match this one.

Not huge... the worst score of the saga, it's not even the best start of the year (Shrek 4)! I wonder why they didn't open the movie in France last week like the majority of the world....weird.

Not huge... the worst score of the saga, it's not even the best start of the year (Shrek 4)! Hmm..this is surprising specially since it has been doing so well everywhere else. Is it because of the release date, some local movies having effect on its run , or maybe lower TC ?

HP7-I continues the streak of each successive Potter flick grossing more than the last. Potter now holds 3 positions inside the Top 10 and all but the first movie inside the Top 20. HP7-I debut knocks ROTK out of the Top 10 and Spiderman out of the Top 20.
This landed smack bang where i thought it would be after the opening day. At this rate, we can be almost assured that the final installment (with 3D) will easily claim the #1 opening weekend title next year.

Re: HARRY POTTER 7-1: Deathly Hallows (INTL.)
JAPAN - Opening Weekend
Worrying signs here, HP grosses in Japan have gotten lower and lower while the movies have become more frontloaded.
This opening is not even at the same levels at HP6. Still it's the 2nd largest opening of 2010 behind (who would've thought) Resident Evil 4 with previews.

I think weekend grosses are yet to be included in that figure. Generally weekend OS figures comes out by Monday. For new movies and specially the ones grossing very high OS, BOM updates the numbers every day or two.
