Re: What Are Your Favorite Old Universal Horror Movies?
I grew up on them, and they were the first movies that I was a fanboy of as a young child. I just watched King Kong and Dracula last week, actually. I love them all, but Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein is still one of the greatest comedies ever made! The title is a bit misleading, as they actually meet Frankenstein, Dracula, and the Wolfman, with Lon Chaney and Bela Lugosi playing the roles they made famous, but sadly, Boris Karloff didn't play the Frankenstein Monster. They did get Vincent Price to cameo as the voice of the Invisible man, though.
Anybody who hasn't seen these classic horror films, and the Abbott and Costello horror/comedy, do yourself a favor and check them out.

I picked up the Universal Monsters DVD boxed set last year and I couldnt have been happier. I love all of them but I do like the Wolfman the best, closely followed by Frankenstein.
I need to pick up the Creature from the Black Lagoon on DVD .
Im still waiting for the US release of the original King Kong on DVD. (I have a korean DVD version of a German print to hold me over until it does.)
Kong will finally be be released in the US on DVD in November as a 2 disc special edition boasting the most extensive and painstaking resotoration process for any film ever. Ive been aiting over 5 years for this film to be released on DVD.
