 Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for Sept 10-12
1. Resident Evil: Afterlife - 32% of Fandango Sales 2. Nanny McPhee Returns - 5% of Fandango Sales 3. The American - 4% of Fandango Sales 4. The Twilight Saga: Eclipse - 4% of Fandango Sales 5. Takers - 4% of Fandango Sales
RE4 is in line with expectations. Bella's b-day is getting the girls all giddy again (nice alliteration eh?)
I am seeing RE4 at midnight tonight so will report back early tomorrow.

 Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for Sept 10-12
RE4 at midnight was decently crowded, maybe 70% of Watchmen and 60% of Wolverine at the same theater at midnight as best I recall.
There were a few ridiculous lines that got laughed at, maybe partially intentional comedy. WOM should be excellent for the 3D/style/presentation but as for the movie itself won't be either good or bad, just mixed. Not significantly different from Extinction but better than Apocalypse for sure. Felt like the movie was made just to showcase the technology and announce part 5, as if it were just a television episode in a long series. There is a small bit a minute after the credits role and something tiny at the very end.

How does this compare to Titans or other films that have been converted later to 3D? Is the 3D here noticeable better as it was on Avatar?

I have to give credit where credit is due - the 3D is leagues better than any other 3D film I've seen except Avatar, especially the conversions. It's very impressive - Cameron's system was used well and to very good effect.

Is anyone else seeing THE VIRGINITY HIT playing at their theater? It is playing Friday, Saturday and Sunday only at my theater at 9:30PM. Very bizarre.

Resident Evil 3D, 11:20, like 50% full in a 300-seater.

It's still early yet but so far Resident Evil 4 looks to be flat to or slightly ahead of Resident Evil 3. {nm}

I'm hoping that is admissions-wise.

 Re: Screen Counts and Crowd Reports for Sept 10-12
I hope it atleast gets to $10M+. It not cracking atleast that much with such a HUGE theatre count, 3D and strong marketing has to be considered somewhat dissapointing right ?
