What is Your Favorite Romantic Comedy?
I'm sure some of you guys are too cool to appreciate a good romcom ( =; ), but I'm not. It's not my favorite genre, because there are a lot of less than well made romcoms, but the good ones are great. My favorites are Jerry Maguire , Her Alibi , and The Wedding Singer.
Side note about Jerry Maguire. I found out yesterday that the guy who played the quarterback that screwed Jerry over by signing with his rival agent, was the chubby kid in Stand By Me.

Somethings Gotta Give is up there for me.
I enjoyed Hitch as well, but wouldn't rate it as one of my tops.
Jerry Maguire is deffinatle a favorite of mine.
Pretty Woman and Sleepless in Seattle are all good too.
As for an overall Favorite ... dont have one, though I do enjoy a well made romantic comedy.

I absolutely loathed that movie. It was unfunny, cliched and far from enjoyable. Easily one of the worst romantic comedies I have ever seen it ranks quite high on my list of worst movies ever.
To each his own though I guess.

50 First Dates better than The Wedding Singer?
BTW...I should have mentioned The Princess Bride, and I could kick myself for not mentioning Groundhog Day , a movie that I consider a romantic comedy for sure.

Say Anything... is my absolute favorite
I don't think High Fidelity and About a Boy are true rom-coms, but, they rank among my favorite movies mentioned in this thread.
It Happened One Night and The Wedding Singer are two other favorites.

Yes, those two movies are great as well. Groundhog day is my favorite comedy and Bill Murray movie.

How could I forget There's Something About Mary?
Hitch was fun, but I don't think I'd say it was one of my favorite romantic comedies.

Do you guys really think Eternal Sunshine is a romantic comedy? It has some comedy. It has some romance. But the two aren't really intertwined together. Romantic Comedy is a genre, but just because a movie features SOME lovin' and SOME laughs doesn't make it fit in the genre.
In that case, we might as well call Garden State and Sideways romantic comedies, and we know they aren't...
