So, you guys, what major upsets do you believe in tonight?
For some reason, I think this will be a fairly predictable show. Not that it's bad as long as the wins are well-deserved, but still. Anyone disagrees?

She is beautiful. I kind of hope she wins just to see her on stage, lol. But she's deserving too.

You know, I'm pulling for Cate Blanchett, but Virginia Madsen is lovely AND articulate. (But so is Cate.)

Oprah and Quincy Jones: Quincy had known Charles for ages, and he couldn't tell the difference between Foxx and Charles.
Wow, that is high praise.

Upsets are very possible in both actress categories, I think. Portman and Benning/Staunton could win.

Well, I'm still predicting Imelda Staunton in the prediction game, although that is more because I've had her as my prediction forever, and I don't want to change it and then have been wrong in changing it. I'm more thinking Swank has got it now, but I'm still thinking in the Best Actress category that it may go to someone else other than Swank. Just a hunch. I'm probably wrong, but there, I said it.
PEACE, Mike

I predicted Imelda Staunton as well, by the way. I do believe that Swank is a frontrunner, but I also think that Bning, Staunton and even Winlset all have a shot at it.

I agree. I'm just not feeling it, even though I loved her in it.

The only thing going against Swank is time. She won quite recently. Now, Foster won twice within a small time frame but her characters were vastly different.
Swank is playing poor white trash again.

I really want Winslet to win, honestly. Swank was incredible but I think that Winslet gave the superior performance. She has been snubbed before as well.

I would so love to see her win tonight. Not only do I think she is deserving, but that would be such a shocker...

If there is an upset, I'd say the most likely upset will be in best actor. Foxx is still the favorite but the other contenders are strong too, especially DiCaprio being under-estimated.

This is her fourth nomination (second leading actress, two supporting actress). This could be the year for her.

Winslet would be great! I absolutely wouldn' mind her and Leo walking up and accepting their awards.
Btw, Halle Berry looks greattttt!

Ya. For some reason I was either expecting her not to show or to look disheveled. Dunno why.
