 Re: Battlefield Earth
I don't even remember the movie...save for some scenes, but don't think I hated it *that* much as some people here.

 Re: Battlefield Earth
Was this really a hyped movie? I mean I remember seeing it in theaters, and thinking it was allright. I've seen it a few times since then. Its certainly very cheesy at points. But it was no worst thena Sci Fi movie. I've seen many worst films than this, big budget ones its certainly up there. But its the very definition of mediocre, but I've Seen much worst.

We don't get nearly enough sci-fi movies in my opinion. It was another example of a critical pile-on like Speed Racer and The Last Airbender. Once the corporate owned media develops a hate for you, they can spin the public's reaction like a top - - free thinking is, for practically all intents and purposes, dead.

 Re: Battlefield Earth
It's a dour and unpleasant film to watch, but Travolta almost saves it by hamming it up.

 Re: Battlefield Earth
Ha, I actually saw this in theaters at the age of 12. I didn't think it was good, just kind of lazy. But my god the hatred for this is kind of hilarious. I can't defend the film, but I've seen so many more terrible films. I think my favorite thing about the whole thing is the guy who also created scientology wrote this. You don't need any other argument in my book of someone ever questions you about scientology.

 Re: Battlefield Earth
I saw this years ago. Don't remember it much. It's ludicrous and forgettable; an odd mixture. But it's not hard to see why the critics hated it.
