Is it a nice little fairytale if you're a kid? Yes. However, looking at it with open eyes, it's painfully slow and boring. All the words and dialogue are so drawn out, it's truly the 30s version of bad childrens jokes and puns, and it's hard to sit through. It's dated, unbelievably.

Um, NO

:disgust:

I think your English vocabulary is larger than most native writers on this board. I had to look the word up.

Good film, too long. B+.

As a kid you love the film because its magical, as an adult i admire it even more because the film is actually more than that. Its probablt the best coming of age film i have ever seen.
Lol, i remember a professor at the university i went to say that the film was about menstruation.

Too long? Hmmmm, I've seen it like a gazillion of times. It always goes by fast. What would you cut/change??

This is one of those films that can be watched over and over again and enjoyed fresh each time, and very few films fall into that category. How anyone can give it a D is beyond me.

I've seen this movie so many times. But always at home. Last December my bf took me to a special theater showing. My first time watching this on the big screen. And it was awesome.

Catchy songs, endearing performances, classic lines and groundbreaking (for the time) special effects make the Wizard of Oz stand the test of time, even if it isn't particularly complex.
