Updated. Alone in the Dark ended its 3-week run on Feb. 17th with a total of only $5,178,569 after a $2,834,421 opening on January 28th for a final multiplier of 1.83. This might be the worst multiplier of the year come January 2006.

Alone in the Dark was only in theaters for 3 weeks!!! Is that the shortest time a wide release film has been in theaters?

Multipliers like that are common for small openers. Last year there were 4 such films under a multiplier of 2. Club Dread was under 1.7. heh

Yeah, but that was 4 films for the whole year. Right now we already have 2 under 2 multipliers. 1 NOT a small opener.

Who would have thought that Are We There Yet? will have one of the best multipliers of the year? Especially since it was released in January. I'm utterly shocked it made this much so far, but if WOM is this good, it might be worth a viewing.

Are We There Yet? could finish with a 5.0 multiplier but I don't think thats going to happen. It should finish with $85-$90 million easily though.

Glad to see ARE WE THERE YET having such good legs. While it isn't original, it's a fun and cute family venture that deserves success.

Um, okay. What's your point?

How is that a response to my (joking) question?
