Actually there are only 32 reviews( 220 ratings). Yahoo for some reason has the count wrong. Check the 4th page of the reviews. http://movies.yahoo.com/mvc/drv?mid=180 ... Ih11eEGg--

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
Halloween already has 70% more reviews than FD. While I would expect a slightly higher ratio than FD, we could see it beat out FD if this keeps up.
At first I thought it was a giant rush of reviews following the midnight shows, but Halloween has been steady all morning. This may be the likely scenario of one film cannibalizing the other.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
H2 may top today but assuming it's close enough, FD should have better legs and could top the weekend overall. MBV3D has a better than average multiplier OW because of 3D, for example.

People might just be finally sick of FD though. This one literally offers nothing new except 3D, and its main selling-point accident isn't nearly as scary due to its regularity as the past three.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
It is really more of a thriller vs. horror scenario than the same genre. If people want to see something scary, Halloween 2's gonna be the logical choice. Hopefully The Final Destination can somehow beat it by the end of the weekend.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
Final Destination is out and out horror.
It's horror vs. horror...for sure.
I think it's TFD- horror in a fun, jumpy, gory, silly way. And H2- horror in a gritty, dark, serious, brutal way.

But each FD film has improved considerably over the other opening weekends wise. I suspect the 3D aspect will add an extra element that will push it to the mid-20s.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
Very low count for Final Destination with a 'B' grade. I see a best case scenario of $8m with a ratio of 40. Hopefully $10m for Halloween with a 50 ratio.

I'm seeing $9m for Final Destination and $7m for H2.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
H2 has slipped to a B- with 720 votes. FD is still at a B with 433 votes. Why is the count so much higher for H2 despite its much lower BO?

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
It's more of a fanboy film, thus more internet users, which means a higher ratio.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009
both films have sunk to B-, they both have pretty bad wom, I don't see either getting more than a 2.3 multiplier.

WOM for FINAL DESTINATION is great here from what I have heard. The reviews were good too. UK critics have always been kind to the FD franchise.
They are not kind to Halloween though, but H2 hasn't opened here yet.

They are not kind to Halloween though, but H2 hasn't opened here yet. At my college the WOM is atrocious, we have people actively trying to convince everyone to not see it.
