Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009 Halloween already has 70% more reviews than FD. While I would expect a slightly higher ratio than FD, we could see it beat out FD if this keeps up.
At first I thought it was a giant rush of reviews following the midnight shows, but Halloween has been steady all morning. This may be the likely scenario of one film cannibalizing the other.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009 H2 may top today but assuming it's close enough, FD should have better legs and could top the weekend overall. MBV3D has a better than average multiplier OW because of 3D, for example.

Re: Yahoo Review Thread - 2009 It is really more of a thriller vs. horror scenario than the same genre. If people want to see something scary, Halloween 2's gonna be the logical choice. Hopefully The Final Destination can somehow beat it by the end of the weekend.

It's horror vs. horror...for sure.
I think it's TFD- horror in a fun, jumpy, gory, silly way.
And H2- horror in a gritty, dark, serious, brutal way.

Why is the count so much higher for H2 despite its much lower BO?

They are not kind to Halloween though, but H2 hasn't opened here yet.
