Yeah, but did you see what one of the three "fresh" ratings wrote?
"Akin to channel surfing between showings of Soul Food and Nutty Professor II: The Klumps, with an occasional flip over to The Jeffersons for good measure."
That is unappealing, and exactly why I would make something rotten.
Oh well, I'll break down and end up seeing it though...because of the title. But I'm entertaining thoughts of Constantin now too.

Galia, I really think you'll like Constantine. I have a feeling you enjoy dark, religious imagery as much as me.

Constantine really was pretty damn good, I'd say there was only one REALLY freaky scene *damn you old ladies on buses! * They're a childhood fear of mine to begin with...

Wow, this movie is getting killed right now. Its at 18% over at RT with 73 reviews, so that's looking pretty fixed. Some of the critics are taking delight in how they pan it, and ones that support it, still say it was bad, only different. Hmmmmm, this is getting bumbped down many notches on my list and might become a no view completely. Someone watch it and tell me what they thought.

2.7 at imdb. This just looks like total crap, but it wasn't surprising to see the desperate comedy audience flock like sheep to go see it. It's just more proof of how bad off the genre is.

i was reading roger ebert's review and he said that the crazy grandma totally destroys this movie. he said if she wasn't in it that it might actually be pretty good. he was like "i've been reviewing movies for a long time and have never seen a movie more completely shoot itself in the foot as this" or something along those lines.

You do realize that it is not an outright comedy, right? If anything, it is a romantic drama with a heavy Christian influence. The comedic element is the smallest part.

I realize what the ads show, and they don't show the romatic drama with Christian influence parts. .

I may end up going to see this but only if I'm really bored. I thought the original trailer was very well done (until I realized that one of the characters was actually a guy in drag). The first posters were also excellent. From that point on though, it went down hill quickly.
