Those are some real harsh drops for Robin and IM2. Don't care much about Back-up Plan

Over the regular weekend it should top Robin Hood to become the biggest opening of the year.

I see around 770,000-850,000 admissions over the weekend including previews.


In other words: until Shrek 4 arrives, it'll comfortably reside as #2 of the year (behind Alice which will soon get to 3 million admissions).

Hmm, when I was at my theatre today, Avatar was the second-fullest screening (after Sex and the City 2). Had more people in it than Prince of Persia or Robin Hood (over 120 for a 4:30 pm showing).

Again very nice for SATC2. PoP did well in Germany very nice drop. (comparing to Austria where it fell 48%)

With quite terrific weather to be expected over the weekend, I'd expect another round of 60/70% drops this weekend...

Sex and the City 2 is looking to repeat at #1 with around 340,000 admissions over the weekend. That probably means around 1.3 million admissions in total.


Prince of Persia is surprisingly looking at another decent hold. We could see up to 150,000 admissions in its second weekend. 1+ million is happening.


Robin Hood should be at around 1,250,000 admissions by the end of the weekend.

Actually S&TC2 needs only 325,000 admissions to pass the 1.5m mark today....

PERSIA has crossed the 1m mark yesterday and ROBIN HOOD the 1.25m mark Thursday...

That's a bigger second weekend for SATC2 than the first movie's second weekend and it is around 300,000 admissions ahead of the first film in total.

Nice numbers all around. SATC2 is great and PoP is also OK. Surprised with StreetDance numbers. Very good for RH, nice legs. Meh for Splice. None of the openers were released in Germany other than Splice ?

Sex and the City 2 is even stronger than I expected here. 2,000,000 will easily fall soon and I think 2.5+ million is possible.

I assume it will be at around 10,860,000 admissions then.

1,897,731 admissions after the third weekend for Sex and the City 2.

Sex and the City was at 1,616,466 after the same number of days.


Robin Hood is at 1,356,990 admissions (#7 of 2010 at the moment)


Avatar is still chugging along with 10,857,055 admissions as of now. I hope it can pass 10.9 million within the next 4-5 weeks. Weather needs to play along, though.

Looking at mark's projections...

Sex and the City 2 will easily be #1 again for the fourth week in a row with around 150,000 admissions. That's a drop less than 25% from its last weekend and a better fourth weekend than that of Sex and the City. It'll put the film at over 2,100,000 admissions by the end of the weekend (still tracking over 250,000 admissions ahead of the first film). I'd say that at this point it is actually very likely to beat the first film in admissions here.


Prince of Persia is holidng up very well too and looks to drop less than 10% this weekend! 1.5 million admissions is almost locked now.

Lack of competition during the WC and bad weather are helping the movies A LOT. Most increased over the last weekend.

And there seem to be no new wide releases this upcoming weekend...


BTW, the first Sex and the City got 2,473,566 admissions here overall. The number should be exceeded within the next three weeks at latest.
