And to release my fustration...
Top 5 Most Robbed Best Picture Nominees
1) Brokeback Mountain (it was so robbed) 2) Lord of the Rings: FOTR 3) The Aviator 4) Lord of the Rings: TTT 5) Saving Private Ryan
*TDK would have been #1 had it been nominated
Top 5 Weakest Years for BP Nominees
1) 2007 - No Country For Old Men / Atonement / Juno / Michael Clayton / There Will Be Blood 2) 2008 - Slumdog Millionaire / Curious Case / FrostNixon / Milk / The Reader 3) 2005 - Crash / Brokeback / Capote / Good Night Good Luck / Munich 4) 2006 - The Departed / Babel / Letters From Iwo Jima / Little Miss Sunshine / The Queen 5) 2004 - Million Dollar Baby / The Aviator / Finding Neverland / Ray / Sideways

And you're calling The Hurt Locker one of the five worst winners without even seeing it? You Avatar freaks are too much.

Re: 20 Years: Top 5 and Worst 5 Best Picture Winners
2007 is excellent in that it has two of the most critically acclaimed films of the decade in the same year, and academy managed to not screw up and nominate both. Juno is controversial, but personally I like it a lot and feel it's deserving of a spot. Only Michael Clayton doesn't belong in the field.

xiayun wrote: Only Michael Clayton doesn't belong in the field. I agree. I know trix doesn't and all, but it was by far the weakest nominee that year. However, Tilda Swinton winning was well-deserved. And honestly, all the THL bashing from Avatar fans gives me an aversion against that movie even though I really liked it. Damn, it's LOTR loonies all over, another series of films that I love but that has insanely annoying fans at times.

Michael Clayon is much much much better than both Atonement and Juno.

You're right; that should be Clayton instead.

As a self-proclaimed Pedobear, I take offense to that!
