"Yeah right! This is going to be R Rated, deal with it kiddies.
The offical website lists it as being R, they wouldn't do that if they planned on re cutting it. Now leave us horror fans alone you stupid kids!"
The Website will remain with an R rating until after MPAA Board approval of the re-cut. I have seen the film and it remains very scary even without the graphic gore element. As of right now, this film is cut for PG-13. Once MPAA approval is given after Tuesday's re-view, we will change the website.
Posters will debuting in Theaters this week.

BKB...
Don't worry. This is more than likely someone just trying to get a rise out of people, which they clearly have done. From Bloody Disgusting....
"People have been emailing and pestering us until no end wanting to know if Platinum Dunes and MGM's The Amityville Horror remake is rated PG-13. The answer is NO. According to numerous sources close to the film, it will be hitting theaters on April 15th bearing a nice bold "R". I've seen the film, they found plenty of ways to spill blood- just wait until you see the opening sequence!"

Alright, alright.. I'll chill down.. I'll take Bloody Disgusting's word over IMDB and hopefully, this remains R-Rated cause it should, other wise someone's head will be mounted over my fireplace over it!!! The above description alone beats the holy hell out of The RING II and worth adult admission alone.. =D>

Tell me what's so scary about The RING that makes this movie so popular VS an R-Rated Horror movie like the Amityville description Makeshift posted above from Bloody Disgusting?? What makes this PG-13 Family Friendly Horror Fare more frightening than a balls to the wall, R-Rated Horror movie like Amityville will be destined to scare the daylights out of you?? Bottom line is the RING II will be *OWNED* Come April 15th courtesy of the Best Haunted House Story/Legend in the World which I'm about to post a chapter from and hopefully pics from this new Hardbound Novel I just purchased from Border's Books on REAL GHOSTS and REAL HAUNTINGS... They better Goddamn not make this PG-13 or heads will roll.. =;

I hope this isn't true because I was really looking forward to this remake, and now I'm disappointed. Don't get me wrong PG-13 horror films can work, but I wanted this movie to be Rated R so badly. I hope this is not true. If they keep making these PG-13 horror films soon nobody is going to do Rated R ones, because of how much money the PG-13 movies make, but I hope that isn't the case. Hopefully the director will take a chance and make this Rated R, even if it means losing a couple million dollars, because I still think it could make upwards of $60 million with an R rating.

They should keep this movie R-Rated and prove once and for all, that a skillfully well done, well crafted, Horror movie like this at an R-Rating can break this notion of supposedly not making as much as PG-13 Horror and pull it off to a massive weekend opening and this one will based on everything I've seen and read.. Once you see this, you won't give a fuck about The RING and it's PG-13 Sequel.. 50 Million for a 3 day weekend is where I stand with Amityville Horror and will not budge at all.. Bets are on and I'm feeling lucky.. =D>

That alone will kick the RING II out of the water and bring R-Rated Horror back once and for all.. Below are 3 links to 3 pages of an article recently written on the Amityville Horror and whether or not it was true.. On page 3 at the bottom, an investigator has new proof that it was in fact Haunted and built on an Indian BurialGround where they performed Witchcraft..

BKB, you sound like that little clown that's desperately pleading their case all the time and no one really cares. Maybe it's the bold font.

Whatever the opinions are, BKB, shouldn't you be swearing at the stuidos and not the MPAA?

This, along with Land of the Dead, are movies that I hope can keep an R rating. I'll be very upset if it doesn't stay with the R.

BKB, you've been saying for months that yesterday R is todays PG-13. Perhaps what could be a comparible movie in terms of gore and violence is just not as taboo as before.
Of course, I haven't seen anything about it, nor am I anticipating it at all, so I'm really just tlaking out of my ass here.

50 Million opening for Amityville??? i don't think it'll happen. tell me since when a R-rated horror film ever open in 50 million range?
anyway 50 million in 3 days just too much.
by the way The Ring 2 will have more chance to outdo Amityville in long-term run.

i'll say one thing right now. if they even think of cutting land of the dead to pg 13 there will be HELL TO PAY!! i'm not worried, george romero will never let that happen. he wanted to release it unrated but agreed to the R when they told him that was the only way this movie would get made. I'm ok with it because i know i have a nice unrated directors cut dvd waiting for me

Well then bet me.. If your so confident I'm wrong, then step up to the plate.. Your looking at the 1st R-Rated Horror movie that's gonna break the notion of PG-13 always outgrosses R-Rated Horror for weekend totals come to a screeching halt with this.. I think this is gonna have major crossover appeal for adults and teens under 17 will find a way to get tickets to it.. This will make The RING II look like shit considering the 1st RING is already shit..
