Spain's drop is wrong,Avatar did this weekend 2.26mill of Euros(-23%)

Where do you get Spain's numbers? I check sites like fotogramas, labutaca and others but they always take like one week to update numbers.

Will need another 2 weeks to hit $2.5billion. It needs a good Oscar Push (asuming it wins) to have a shot at $3billion.

I think it will stay flat overall next week since there isn't much competition in most of the markets. It will not be easy to hold its #1 position since VD, Percy and Wolfman will still open in majority of the markets next week along with Shutter Island. There is another thing that I think China will come back with a bang next week though with new local releases there it could stumble down as well

Only 500k adm left to pass Titanic and becoming biggest foreign release of all time in admissions. Shouldn't be a problem for Avatar. 3.7m adm is still the target right now.

Shutter Island should pull in some good grosses i think. it's been almost 2 months since we last seen a pic which targets the more mature crowd (since Sherlock Holmes)

Shutter Island is yet not releasing in all the markets and though I'd say it will do good Domestically I don't think so it will be a break out Overseas. I see that Avatar will be pulling in (at least) 40M or more this weekend Overseas I don't think SI will gross nearly as equal while releasing in half the markets

Just occured to me that it's not far off from beating TItanic, with just the overseas gross alone.

the drop in its 9th week was just 2% = top 5 biggest week of all time = +37.5% from its OW

Hmm... still an average of 11.5M on weekdays. That is great considering it is in its 10th weekend and has long back released in all the markets. Some of the movies are not able to make its per day gross in their entire run overseas. With the same per day average it should be at 2.8M by Thursday or the start of Friday. If it does another 40M(-32%) for the 10th weekend it could be around 3.83B by this weekend
