I hate to say it, but I feel this will disappoint. It's a brilliant movie, but almost too brilliant.

Wait, you've already seen it?

I sure did. It's my favorite movie of the year.

I thought that honor went to Shaun of the Dead.

I don't know yet. When Shaun of the Dead, Dawn of the Dead, and Saw are all on DVD, I'm going to watch all three in a row to judge. Otherwise, I'll leave all three as my favorites.

I think this act will cause your head to explode from a little know medical syndrome called "fucking rad movie overload". I would not recommend it.

I mean, this guy thought he could watch Kill Bill: Volume 1 and 2 back to back, and, well...

Damn, I knew there was a reason why I shouldn't try and watch Vol. 1 and 2 back to back.

Now now, it's been a few months since I saw Dawn of the Dead, but I think I'll still like it as much. For now, Saw was the better movie. Man, I loved the ending.

I was so mesmerized by that picture, that my own head exploded. Man, was that a messy clean-up.

I want Saw to do well, but I think it'll only have a $10 million opening due to competition from the Grudge and possible expansions of RE:A and Shaun of the Dead for Halloween.

Oh my god, do not get me started. I swear, I'm willing to place this on my last of favorite movies of ALL TIME! Shaun of the Dead and Dawn of the Dead too, but I think Saw was better still. It's just so hypnotic this film. The time flies right by, and I had no complaints at all. Perfect cast, perfect length, perfect villian, perfect ending.

Saw is one of the worst movies I've seen this year...it's a ripoff of Se7en with less story, worse acting and lower production values. I think it could do okay openin gweekend, maybe $13-14 million but no more than $40 million total. There was some interesting ideas in the movie but overall it's the most ludicrous thing I've seen this year and I'm just amazed by the number of people raving about it.

Sure, its style is Se7en-oriented. But it is a movie of its own and its ending is not much worse than Se7en's. The movie is a slap in the face and a pretty hard one. The cast acted well and the whole atmosphere is very creepy. Also, even Se7en's ending is more uplifting than SAW's.

Saw is excellent. I wish it all the best at the box office. If it gets enough theaters, it can be big, and possibly crack $20 million.

Opening: $16.5
Total: $46.2

A lot of my friends (in their 30's) are interested in this. This will bring in more than just teenagers only crowd. This movie will have legs.

Saw is going to be another Team America where everyone overpredicts because they think that just because they want to see it, everyone else does as well. OPen Water has been better promoted (at least you kind of know what that's about) and that didn't do that well despite getting 2700 theatres

I think Open Water is much less accessible than SAW. Furthermore, SAW is not really a love/hate movie and it opens on Halloween.

My new predictions:

Opening weekend - $17.3 million

Total gross - $46.5 million

At first i thought SAW wouldn't find an audience in the US, but it sure as hell found one here in the UK.

SAW has made over $8.5M in the UK, dropping 12% then 15%!

WOM is fantastic, and i'v watched it twice....it rocks.

$10M opening.

It is doing really, really great over here. It should do 16.5M opening weekend with a total of about 66-70M
