Most predictions in Poland for Avatar are that it will go up this weekend.

I think so. it's already almost doubled Titanic's gross.

It's starting to reach the point where it's drops are getting smaller and smaller. The only thing that could stop it now is the theatre counts in each country.

And it's already on one screen in most cinemas and those cinemas are not going to drop it anytime soon. Only Helios ( 3rd biggest cinema operator ) will drop Avatar on 5th March for Alice because they only have one 3D screen in each of their cinemas. Cinema City ( no.1 ) has on avg 3 3D screens and Multikino (no.2 ) has 4-5 3D screens. And new 3D screens are added every week.

So it's now possible to have at least 3 3D movies in wide release in Poland

You are kidding right? There is no way it will just abruptly end. A movie that has been top for 7 straight weeks in most of the markets is not likely to just vanish off. Theater owners are not that stupid to leave a money making tree go away for the movies that they are not sure will give them any profit. Also what is the point of moving it out when it is only running in 3D when there aren't any new 3D movies around?

You know I was only talking about Hong Kong, right? Not worldwide. Theaters in Hong Kong have cut down on Avatar's showtimes or dropped it completely due to fierce competition for screens from the 8 (9 if you include 2 versions of TPATF) openers this week.

Sad day when even LOTRs goes down in New Zealand. Sigh
