Seems slow, didn't you say 9m was possible, seems a long way from here Not really, looks like 5th weekend will show only a 12 % drop and weekdays are much slower now - 9m is still very much possible... Looks like it'll be weeks before we find out whether Ice Age 3 or Avatar tops Germany. True, but so far my AVATAR Germany prediction skills weren't too bad: After opening weekend I said 4m by January 3rd and 5m by January 10th and 9m overall. In reality it was 3.9m January 3rd and 5.1m January 10th - so I'm pretty confident that the rest of the run follows my expectations as well...

No need to do that - let's just hope that the 9m mark will be reached so that an original movie will top the yearly chart instead of another sequel...

What's wrong with sequels really if they're good, who cares. Though Ice Age 3 is shit so i support u Avatar is obviously miles better than Ice Age. Though would've loved HP6 to take it, too bad Potter's time in Germany is over.

It's the biggest Friday opening day ever...
(Three or four movies had bigger opening days during the week)...

Wow not bad. Though I really pity those who would be waiting extra patiently for a movie that grossed about 1.5B before it was released eh

Actually I don't mind late Japan releases because by now they are accustomed to late releases. I guess Corpse will not kill me for that

Just looses the excitement for me a little. Luckily in Australia we pretty much get it at the same time if not a couple of days earlier as our opening day is on a thursday with a lot of the new ones now opening on a Wednesday just like last year's Wolverine.

 Re: Avatar (INTL.) - $1.425bn Worldwide (#2)
Saturday in Italy is being estimated at €4.5m = $6.5m
If estimate holds that's €6.6m = $9.5m in two days...

isn't Avatar reaching near a record gross in South Korea.
Last film to hit 60 million was Transformers I think...
