Bad news for Germany:
A huge snowstorm with 1-2 feet of snow covering most if not all of the country is forecast for Friday until Sunday...

And in the UK the snow is hitting most of the country now, hopefully it will clear up by the weekend though. We've had more here today than i've seen in about 10 years or so, it's mad.

Despite record snowfall and bitter cold, "Avatar" burned up China's boxoffice, earning about 35 million yuan ($5 million) Monday to set a record for a weekday opening here, distribution officials at Twentieth Century Fox said Tuesday. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... 34292a52ca

 Re: Avatar (INTL.) - $1.029bn Worldwide (#4)
I just checked for tickets at London's BFI IMAX and it's showing at least two sold out shows a day until Monday 18th January! It's showing sell outs at the weekend right through to 7th February, which is just insane.
If that's being duplicated across the country it's going to have some awesome legs in the UK.

 Re: Avatar (INTL.) - $1.029bn Worldwide (#4)
So it had 29% drop for holdovers. That is just insane. If weekday numbers will be this big all week than Avatar might end up with 900M OS after 4th weekend Goodbye Titanic

$850m-$880m by end of its 4th weekend seems more realistic. But i keep underestimating it, so who knows...

Well looks like Cameron after 12 years decided that he needs to update Box Office because Titanic long run is always forgotten with the frontloaded movies of today.

Brilliant performance so far.
It managed to stay flat this weekend in India which is amazing. SM3 is going down. It could beat 2012 as well but it all depends on how it does after fourth weekend.

Spain– $9.9m for $46.9m (confirmed) UK– $9.3m following 49% drop for $53m Australia– $8.81m following 10% climb for $44.3m. Russia– $8.5m for $55m. South Korea – $5.4m for $44.7m. Japan has generated $36.2m (I think it's about 34m though based on today's news) Mexico– $4.7m for $23.6m. Brazil– $4.5m for $21.3m. Hong Kong – $2.6m for $10.4m India– $2.2m for $14.5m Taiwan– $1.97m for $14.1m. I think the unconfirmed were weekend estimates, maybe.
