Post Re: Top 10 Of 2009
So even though I still need to see a good bit (Young Victoria, A Single Man, Whip It, Coco Before Chanel, The White Ribbon, A Prophet, The Last Station, etc...) I think 104 films is a good stopping point to make my 2009 list.

So first is Top 10 of 2009 which is...

1. Up in the Air
2. Inglourious Basterds
3. The Hurt Locker
4. I Love You, Man
5. An Education
6. (500) Days of Summer
7. Avatar (the more I thought about it, the more I realized it was really only wonderful for its graphics)
8. Adam
9. A Serious Man
10. The Fantastic Mr. Fox
Just outside (in ABC order): Adventureland, The Brother's Bloom, It's Complicated, Moon, Up

And the Bottom 10 of 2009...

1. Surrogates
2. Dragonball: Evolution
3. The International
4. The Soloist
5. Crank: High Voltage
6. Aliens in the Attic
7. Orphan
8. Sorority Row
9. The Ugly Truth
10. Year One
Just outside (in ABC order): The Box, Bruno, Land of the Lost, The Univited, Watchmen

This is a classic case of someone trying to appear knowledgeable about film in the heat of the awards season, then when the charade ends, the more enjoyable and accessible films float to the top. Happens every year.
