I don't think so. Most of the grosses come from 3-d, this percentage even increased in 2nd week.

My college at work watched the pirated copy. I advised him to go and see it in 3d in the theatre. Poor lad went to a 2d since 3d was sold out. Anyway, he and his wife liked the movie, although she never liked sci-fi stuff.

Avatar OW in Poland is 315 143 admission and that gave 7 803 451 PLN ( 2 738 053 $ ). Now that's more like it. Still it's a lock for increase next weekend. Today cinemas were packed like crazy. I just came from my second viewing ( rating goes from A+ to A++) in IMAX and it was sold out ( 400 seats ). Crowd loved it.
