I have it between $850m-$880m.

EDIT:
Oops, i took $600m instead of $615m as the gross-to-date. My revised prediction: $865m-$895m.

I'd like overseas and worldwide totals predictions, please.

Is there any chance this film gets anywhere near $1B internationally?

This is incredible. A fantastic domestic box office run thus far is being paired with an amazing overseas run. Really, wow.

Peace,
Mike

Right now I'm thinking $525m-625m domestic and $975m-$1,075m internationally with GB, France, Germany and Japan each contributing $100m plus...

I find it funny that the film that will shatter Titanic's cloak of invincibility will be no other than its follow-up from the same director.

Avatar rules overseas with $145m as Fox Int'l sets box office record

Avatar continued to dominate the overseas arena thanks to a stunning $145m second weekend that boosted the running total to $405m after 12 days in release and propelled Fox International’s annual box office to an industry-high $2.263bn with four days to go, overtaking Warner Bros’ $2.24bn record from 2007.

James Cameron’s sci-fi powerhouse slipped a mere 12% from its opening weekend and played on 14,844 screens in 108 markets. Combined with the $212.3m North American tally, Avatar has amassed $617.3m worldwide.

International business was driven by impressive holds and the highest non-franchise launch for Fox in Japan on $14.5m (¥1.3bn) from 1,114 screens, which was also Fox’s fourth highest launch behind the Star Wars franchise. The 283 3D screen count comprised 38% of the entire count and accounted for 75% of box office.

Between this and Ice Age 3, Fox is having one hell of a business outside the states.

Fucking Fox and fucking Rupert Murdoch and fucking Fox News. You just know that some of the money from Avatar will be going to fund Fox News. Thank God for it's anti-war, pro-environmental message.

That's because this movie is truly international. There is no mention of either country. Only Earth(which everyone can relate to) and Pandora.

Let's think of it as a kind of Trojan horse...otherwise, it's box office performance would be sickening :funny:
