That is just insane. I think it will be over 400M as of this weekend. I think AWE still holds record after 2nd weekend( 410M?) and avatar could challenge that despite having much weaker OW.

Yeah, it opened the 23rd in Japan to $4.38m (might not be official quite yet, it's still sort of an estimate).

i dont know what is more impressive, avatar's domestic holds or its os holds. is 700M OS more impressive than 400M domestic.

If it gets $400m domestic, that's far more impressive than $700m overseas.
