Re: The Avatar Prediction | Tracking Thread
I'm a bit surprised that the Wednesday predictions are that high, everything should fall a good 5-10% today and Avatar has some *slight* steam to burn off from its opening weekend. Looking purely just as the numbers though, anything over $10 million I still can't believe is happening. Just amazing!!

Just amazing!! pure bilge, early reports show the opener headed for 15m-20m and most of the holdovers increasing, awards daily reports a 15%-20% increase for avatar.

Re: The Avatar Prediction | Tracking Thread
Considering Alvin and the Chipmunks sequel has knocked the sails out of AVATAR so far with it's massive Wednesday opening, I say it'll pull the upset and knock AVATAR down to #2 for the holiday weekend..

You're posting the same nonsense in this thread too? Explain to me how AVATAR got his sails knocked out when it grossed $16m on Monday, $16m on Tuesday and $16m on Wednesday?

Cause it proves that AVATARD is not unstoppable as the Cameron worshippers will make this holiday weekend out to be and this proves that it's ONLY a movie and not a life altering event and shows the audience wants to see other movies besides Cameron's technology pushing Opus..

So not declining one bit while another movie opens amazingly is proof that the movie is "stoppable"? I wish I would master the English language better to explain to you some basic logic rules...

I wish I would master the English language better to explain to you some basic logic rules... It proves Cameron Penis Worshippers, that AVATAR isn't unstoppable and NOT locked to take the holiday weekend and that's a big thing if a young kids movie like Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 can knock the most overhyped movie of the year like AVATARD down a peg and good for it, plus you have Sherlock Holmes coming out tomorrow and mixed reviews or not, it will also be a holiday force to reckon with to.. Perhaps if AVATAR starts to lose too much momentum this weekend over the 2 new releases, maybe by Monday, FOX will fudge the numbers in AVATARS Favor, just like that magical 4 million increase from it's 73 Million opening??? Hmmmm???
