WB Gives CONSTANTINE II The Go Ahead..
http://www.comingsoon.net/news/topnews.php?id=8459
Hell, what more needs to be said about this?? I haven't seen it, but a 34 Million opening has WB Execs doing backflips and enough to greenlight CONSTANTINE II.. Are you surprised??? Hell, if this movie can get a Sequel, Then CURSED is a shoe in for a Sequel even before it hits theatres on Friday.. =D>

I really didnt expect a comic book about the Bible and Hell would do too well, but im kinda glad it is.

I'm fine with that. They could make much better with the second one.

I'll be skipping it. I've had my fill of Keanu Reeves franchises, and WB isn't very good at making great sequels anyway. I'm definitely not going to say they shouldn't make a sequel, like so many on the net do, as if Hollywood exists to revolve around their movie tastes. Nobody is forcing anybody, and certainly not me, to see it, so they can make 50 of them if they want to.

Indeed it does. There's such a huge mythos going on with it.
The first film was amazing, so i'd welcome a sequel in a heart beat. I just hope it's handled like the first one - R rated and dark.

Just so i get a bearing on how good it is, can you give me a film that is equally as good? near to the same genre if possible... please.

I think a sequel will flop most likely, unless it improves over the original, and is better recieved.

This is a tough one. I'd call Constantine a horror film, but I can't really think of a horror film i've ever seen that's similar. I mean, it shares some similarities with a lot of films.... The Exorcist, The Ninth Gate, End Of Days, Rosemary's Baby, even Batman as far as the whole "dark hero" thing goes. But it's not exactly like any single film I can think of. If Constantine is nothing else, it's original.

I agree totaly. I would hope they keep the same feel.
To the people that think WB makes bad sequels. I don't feel Warner Bors is like any other film compnay though, with sequels. What company makes good sequels? The only sequels that I enjoyed were T2 and Aliens. Most aren't needed so saying that Warner Bros is bad at it isn't exactly correct.

Constantine was received well enough. And constantine has one thing going for it. theres a good possibility that the movie WILL indeed try to improve on itself. most action flicks (comic films) try to improve by throwing more action. Considering anyone who prolly liked constantine liked it for anything but that, it seems they'll work more on the story than anything else.

It'll definitely do well. I see an increase on about a Blade to Blade II level box office wise. Probably a 45-50 million weekend, and just barely over 100 million.
