I've already beat you to it from yesterday.. Yeah, this sounds and looks very promising, but I HIGHLY SUGGEST you all read the Novel 1st and foremost before seeing this cause I'll tell ya: The Makers of this Remake will imply that it's closer to the Novel, but that couldn't be further from the truth.. It isn't.. No where in this movie is "Jody" the Pig the little girl seen and no where is the Hooded Demon seen at the end of the Novel pointing at George Lutz as he attempts to flee the house and nowhere in the Novel did it involve being on the roof with an Axe going after the family.. Like I said, I'm eager to see this and HOPE it stays R-Rated, but come on: If the studios idea to make this remake was because the fans pissed and moaned about how the Original was so called Boring and slow and not accurate to the Novel, then perhaps Michael Bay should pick up the fucking book and read it and realize that the stuff he's not putting in the film from the things I've mentioned above is IN THE BOOK and is accurate.. I hope he didn't do this on purpose because he felt it was hokey or something, cause like it or not or whether he wants to believe it's hokey or not, it was accurate and in the Novel and the Remake should represent this.. This isn't the only time your going to hear this either.. Just wait and see..

Bloody-Disgusting and AICN I wouldn't trust for movie reviews.

I'd normally agree, but the first very positive review of TAH came from Mr. Disgusting, the owner of Bloody Disgusting. He confirmed there was a test screening, so, I tend to think these are legit reviews we've been seeing.

Yeah, but it's the lack of literacy on these sites, the reviews are, more often than not, awfully written and not even checked for spelling. Also, AICN has a history of bribes and corruption, which is yet another reason I don't take anything written there seriously.

I was at Borders Books tonight as always before I head off to work and I was in the "Metaphysical Section" and aw a Hardcover Book titled "REAL GHOSTS and REAL HAUNTINGS" and in it they had a section or chapter devoted to the Amityville Horror and showed the house along with famous psychics/clairavoyants Ed and Lorraine Warren and they had the Old TV Show from the 70's "In Search Of" Hosted by Leonard Nimoy and it was Awesome and does make you wonder after reading it if there was some truth to it cause what I read was very convincing it was but back then, the Community and Media in general had a very skeptical and Cynical attitude over the whole prospect oif hauntings and Supernatural and pretty much dismissed it right off the bat without any consideration or thought.. I'm buying it tomorrow and it cost 25.00 Dollars for it and I'll type the whole section abiout it and you be the judge.. Lot's of pictures to and I see the new owners now forced MGM to build a whole new house for the remake and were threatened with a Suit if they used the original house in the remake like they did with the Original film.. People can say the orignal was boring or not as close to the Novel like it should've been, but the orignal felt more like a Documentary and felt more real and relied on psychological horror and imagination more than anything..
