Well, at least they put Marion Cotillard in supporting! That's where the performance should be placed.

Alison Lohman for Drag Me to Hell???? Awesome.

Ensemble for Zombieland? There's barely an ensemble there.

Post Re: Detroit Film Critics Society nominations
I love the Lohman nomination. DRAG ME TO HELL is one of the year's best. It's a popcorn movie, but so well-done and an absolute BLAST. Raimi did an absolutely fantastic job with it. I would love to see it get some technical nominations at the Oscars. It got rave reviews. Universal should be campaigning to get it some. There's really no reason it should be ignored (it will be though, I'm sure). The sound in the movie was AMAZING and a huge part of why it worked so well. Not to mention the score was awesome. Unlike a lot of people, I thought Lohman did a great job and gave a very game performance. I am not sure I'd put her on my "Best Actress" list at the end of the year, but it's still cool to see her pop up here. Though I could see myself putting Raimi on my Best Director list. While I loved (500) DAYS OF SUMMER, I'd say Raimi is more deserving of a nomination than Marc Webb. Anyway, where the film really deserves attention is in the technical categories (sound, score, and definitely make-up).

The love for (500) DAYS OF SUMMER is great though. It's definitely one of my favorites of the year. It's just too bad Zooey didn't get nominated. I personally found her better than Joseph.

These are quite awesoem nominations.

Alison Lohman as Best Actress?! HELL YEAH!

Two nominations for Zombieland!!

(500) Days of Summer scores big time but no Actor nom for Renner is weird, especially since Matt Damon made it.

This a second Ensemble nom for Star Trek this season already.

Some love for The Lovely Bones but no mention of Invictus...

It's better than that Wes Anderson abomination you admire so much.
