I hear you. 78.88. Of my screw-ups, I really didn't think Mr Fox would be one of them. I still don't quite get what went wrong with it. I guess it just looked too old-fashioned and perhaps creepy for the target audience.

I dont think the new administration cares that much about derby. I was about to send a strongly worded PM but since they banned kal from BOM, I am feeling benevolent.

May be there wont be a derby game this week. Has this ever happened before.

Yep, we didn't play the weekend of Dec 28 - 30, 2007. Christmas Eve fell on Monday that year, so numerous films opened on Tuesday Christmas Day, leaving little time to predict, or BOM admin might be on vacation to begin with; can't remember exactly.

Dang, I need these games to catch up on the yearly chart! I'm sure it will be up by tomorrow.

Tom Karlo is the new admin. Sean Salisbury is no longer associated with BOM. This is post imdb takeover of BOM.

I would say Tom K has been doing much better job than Sean. But they need more folks to get BOM back in shape. I believe they are looking for someone from LA area.

What do you mean by "better job"? Most international charts are dead for two or three months, foreign totals are not updated either, bugs all the time and everything.

I still can't believe there's no new game up. At LEAST put a message up saying it's canceled to the administrator going on vacation or something. Guess we'll have to run a mini-Derby here at KJ!

This is too bad. I always have fond memory of the post-Thanksgiving weekend, getting my first win 5 years ago and placed in the top 21 three other times.

I was talking about forum administration than site. Site is having major issues with international BO since Connor Bresnan left BOM. As I said they are looking to hire someone to do the grunt work.

One unfortunate thing I heard at BOM forum was that they are looking at prioritizing domestic BO bcos that is where they are getting maximum page hits. So it may never be as good as couple of years back when updates were very fast and we got updates for large number of markets.

I guess being on top of google search(if you search box office BOM is the 1st link) gives them major advantage over other sites reporting domestic BO. So they will continue to get bigger % of hits compared to other site.

on BOM's facebook page there is a post that reads "One of our engineers is working on the Derby this morning. Not clear yet what the problem is but as soon as we resolve it, we'll post results and open the new week."

No derby this weekend for sure.

We're still trying to fix the derby game. We're not going to start a new one if we don't know that we can calculate results -- to do so would waste more of everyone's time who plays.

As for the outage, it already occurred on Tuesday night. I removed the posts about it after it was over.

Grumble... surely would have been an easy week to rank high.

I guess IF there is a bright side it is that we won't have Transylmania to pull down our average scores. You know we would have to predict it.

My score for last week is 86.63%. I hope it gets counted as it should be enough for a top 10.
It might be possible they are skipping this week on purpose, rather boring weekend...
