I have this option on my Cable System at home called "Video On Demand" that's basically like TIVO, and it has a "Movie Trailers" option that you can now watch for free and has all the Summer Blockbuster trailers up including the last EPISODE III trailer with Alec Guiness Narrating in the beginning and I just watched BATMAN BEGINS which still looks rather Meh at best.. I wish I could shake the sourness of the last 2 BATMAN movies to appreciate this better but Bale just doesn't look right for this role..

Ugh. I hate Star Wars. The last three movies have been as bad as the standard sci-fi flick, like The Chronicles of Riddick, except the Star Wars movies actually take themselves seriously, amidst the stupid plots.

I'll only see ROTS in theatres if I'm dragged to it by my friends or it gets HP3-ish reviews. Other than that...nope.

I just hope the corny dialogue doesn't ruin any chance at success for what will be the best movie of the summer, The Island.

You and many other Star Wars bashers will go see it, not considering that going to see a movie that you have bashed other movies in the series will kill your credibility when you start blaming the movie instead of yourself. Isn't it best to just skip it if you hate the movies so much? If I hated something, my friends couldn't drag me to see it. That's kinda weak.

This March is turning out to be good for trailers. Theres news of many high profile movies debuting or releasing theatrical trailers. I'm surprised ROTS has taken so long though. Didn't the AOTC trailer come out sooner?

Um. I'd go with my friends because I might enjoy it. I don't think the movies, though, are anything special and deserve the buzz and announcements they get. It bothers me that Star Wars fans get fixated on the latest trailer as if it's the Messiah.

I'm not one to judge a movie before it comes out, but, I won't be seeing Star Wars unless all of my friends want to see it. I'd want to accompany them and I'd want to spend time with them, even if it involves a sequel to mediocre films.

I'm not bashing Star Wars but more so what the fans make of them. It deserves the same treatment as The Matrix, as the films aren't examples of FINE film-making.

I'm not hyped because I hated the last two movies. I hate George Lucas. I found ROTJ to be mediocre. I shouldn't be hyped for this movie as I'll likely be disappointed. I'll only see it IF my friends really want to or it gets an amazing reception from MOST.

And, um. Seeing ROTS just because I didn't like AOTC and TPM doesn't do anything to my credibility. That's a crop of bullshit. Who cares if you give a NEW movie a NEW chance. I can expect to be disappointed, but I'm certaintly not going to hide the fact if I see it. I'm not going to become the next WOKJ Village Ignoramus because I see ROTS...

Why should you dodge a movie just because you think you won't like it that much? That is bullshit. I was forced to see Mean Girls last year in theaters. FORCED. When I came out of the theater, I loved it. Yet, I expected it to be absolutely terrible.

And, when you go to the movies with your friends, it's always going to be fun. You don't even have to like the movie, but it's fun just to go hang out with some friends at the movies.

I never expected to go.

I didn't want to see it. My friends didn't want to see it. My family didn't want to see it. Hell, my sister didn't want to see it that much.

Why should I go to watch Son of the Mask alone?

torrino, if you go to see a movie because your friends "make you", then I see that as a very weak minded person. Surely you have more backbone than that. My god, I hope your friends don't tell you to do drugs or drive drunk. Go see it because you want to, not because somebody else tells you to. Judging from your comments, you've already made up your mind about it, so what kind of credibility to you really think you would have for bashing the movie after you see it? None.

That doesn't mean you're a village idiot, just that your opinion on EP III won't be anything to be taken seriously if you complain.

because you never know .. it might be good.

I've given Harry Potter a chance 3 times now. Only once did it succeed in somewhat satisfying me as a forgettable fun flick. I'll give Harry another chance. my girlfriend makes me want to watch all these cheesy movies ... i'm expected to go to them but i try dodging them all the time (suffering from flatulence, tickets sold out, given up movies for religious reasons ... hey, whatever it takes).

Yes, because being forced to go to a movie is similar to being forced to take drugs and alcohol.

And bABA, I've also given Harry Potter 3 chances. The first one was boring and mediocre, the second one was okay, and third was great. I had to give it 3 chances to be good, and the fact is, I've only read the first book of Harry Potter. I'm not even a fan.

Haha Mav. Come on .. its just a movie. You've never done something you didn't want to cause your mom or girlfriend or someone asked you to do it with you? Its one of those things .... going out with friends for a movie means you still have the opportunity to diss them later or go out for drinks or something like that ... meh .. it has its perks. dont think thats weak minded in any way .. its just a movie.

Why'd you watch the Return of the King Extended Edition? Should we take YOUR opinion on it seriously because you had complained about the theatrical version?

You're such a hypocrite. If I continue arguing, you'll dismiss me with a "Go suck on Gael Garcia Bernal's monster" comment, so I'll just refrain here unless you admit that there's reason in my argument (as bABA and Zingaling HAVE mentioned).

My friends don't make me see movies. They ask me if I want to go. If they're all going, I'll surely join them, regardless of the movie. And, yeah, the general consensus here is that I'm a massive stoner so I guess I am influenced by my friends...

I've never went to see a movie that I was dead set against seeing, regardless of who asked me to see it, and if I had, the last thing I would have done is ran to the internet to bash the film, because I would have been too embarrassed , and knew that I had nobody but myself to blame. If I went to see Son of the Mask because my friends wanted me too, and I didn't like it like I knew I wouldn't, do you really think I would report what a fool I was to the internet, as I tried to blame the movie? Nah...

Watch the name calling, MOD.

Do you really think anybody took my opinion seriously about the ROTK theatrical? When you find somebody who did, let me know. As far as why I watched the EE version, it's because I knew it was a complete movie that I would enjoy.

I suggest you tone down the attitude. How old are you?

well he never said hes dead set against it. he said he doesnt like it. He sounded very much like how I am with Harry Potter, hence my earlier example.

Calling you a hypocrite based on what you've said in the past isn't really a personal attack. We've got the right to attack what other people say. What ISN'T allowed are stupid assumptions (like...bABA jacks off to Ewan McGregor in Big Fish at night because he's SO fucking lonely. That loser.) or attacks on the basis of race (like...Zingaling is a fucking dyke) or gender.

You seem to ignore the rules, though...

And, I see no reason why I ought to tone down my attitude. I've read through YOUR blatant name-calling, bias, and shabby, offensive arguing for months and I'm sick of it. If you're going to create that type of persona on these boards, you need to accept the consequences...

I'm not being disrespectful. Just attentive to the general opinion of our community, which is kind of why I'm calling you out on the hypocrisy in your arguments...

But, yeah, I'm a teen. We've already been through this. You already brought up the idea of "[talking] tough behind the safety of mommy and daddy's computer", and it had nothing to do with the argument. I don't see why I need to bring it up - It doesn't matter if I'm talking behind my parents' computer, my own, or my son's computer, it's still a valid argument that you've, once again, failed to address...

And, by the way, what you said was a personal attack, punk. [-X

Uhum, anyhow getting back to the subject, wouldnt it of been better if they attached the trailer to The Ring 2 instead of Robots since the Star Wars series wont likely appeal to the general audience which are little kids for Robots, maybe the parents. Like what Torrino said, StarWars isnt on my most anticipated list but I'll probably check it out anyhow because its an event movie. There is absolutely nothing wrong with checking out a movie you dont seem to care for too much and sometimes you even find gems inside of it

Is age even relevant to this conversation? Are you attacking torrino's credibility based on his age? That's what it looks like.
