 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
Not the best odds ever, $22 million being the middle number would still be very high for this movie. Might split on the top two options, then again the middle two options would be safest.

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
Don't see anything below $22m at this point, so should be a good pay day for whoever plays the top split.

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
I just have no idea with this movie. Honestly, without tracking and polls, I would have guessed like...$12m. But the polls are great on BOM, tracking is terrific, and the reviews are fantastic. So I guess I'm either going just $22-27m or splitting on top two.

I'm also not too sure about this... Jennifer's Body had great buzz but did poorly. A lot of people who are causing the buzz won't be able to buy tickets because it's rated R.

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
I smell overhype. It's going to follow the current trend and def not go over 27 million.
I see 16 - 22 or 22 - 27

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
I didn't bet. Under 16 and over 22 both seemed too likely, though I honestly don't see where all the 22+ predictions are coming from, unless it is just MTC>RS, which is not all that meaningful. My derby entry was 16, though that was what I felt was a safe play.

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
It'll fall into the 22-27 betting range.

Yup, definitely over $22m. $27m+, probably not.

Sweet. Wish I would've just stuck with $22-27 instead of splitting the top two. But still, very profitable!

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
Yeah, I wish I didn't bet on the top two either. I knew it couldn't do $27m but got nervous that it might break out. xiayun's posts always get me worried. Oh well, I still win a little bit this week.

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
Well I guess it could potentially still go that high. All it needs is a 15% Saturday increase and a healthy Sunday drop.

I don't think it will increase either, but I'd still give it about a 15% shot of happening. Not holding my breath on it.

Lets say you put $10 on 22-27 at +150, and $10 on 27+ at +200. Wouldn't your return for 22-27 be $15? If you start with $20 and end with $15, that's a loss. What am I doing wrong? If I knew I could have won money splitting those two options, I'd have bet for sure.

 Re: BETTING ODDS: Zombieland
With +150 on 100, you should get 25 back, with 15 being the profit. That's why when you think it will surely happen between the two ranges, splitting will always make you money unless you see a very rare sub +100 odd on a range.
