 Can Meryl Streep get an Oscar Nom for Julie & Julia? Can Meryl Streep get an Oscar Nom for Julie & Julia? Or then just the Golden Globe win, I guess.
Because this movie really was just OK and it got good critical reviews, but she carried the movie?

Re: Can Meryl Streep get an Oscar Nom for Julie & Julia? She rode effusive praise & big box office numbers from Devil Wears Prada into a nomination. She's praised here, but not to the same extent. The box office isn't going to be as big, and the campaign will only be for her (as opposed to her + Emily Blunt + screenplay, i.e. the movie has less pedigree). Not seeing a lock here this early, especially if it's a strong year.

Re: Can Meryl Streep get an Oscar Nom for Julie & Julia? If Emily Blunt could be on Devil Wears Prada Oscar ads, I'm sure there will be no problem putting "FYC - Best Actress - Amy Adams" or "Best Supporting Actor - Stanley Tucci" on Julie & Julia's.
