If this crawls to $700 million overseas then I see it going all the way to $900 million worldwide...making it the 12th-biggest movie ever worldwide...

In all honesty...I don't know by now what is more impressive...The Hangover making $275 million domestically or Ice Age 3 making $690-700 million OS. Gotta be a draw.

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $657.5 million!
Obviously the overseas gross of IA3....who would've thought that it would comfortably beat HP6 let alone have the possibility of grossing around $700m overseas.
Insane. I have yet to see the movie BTW...LOL

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $657.5 million!
According to the weekend estimates, Ice Age 3 looks to have slightly INCREASED from last weekend in Germany and has now comfortably passed 8.5 million admissions (it has 2.5 million admissions more than Harry Potter 6 now).
It is also still #4 in Germany in its 10th week.

Well, after a $7 million weekend it stands at $670.2 million OS.http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... 458471e7bb$690 million will happen, but it'll probably end up missing $700 million.....

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $670.2 million
Ice Age 3 making almost $700 million OS is mind-boggling. Its increased over 50% over IA2.
If Ice Age 4 has th same increase (I know this won't happen), it'll make around $1.05 billion OS!

Do Romano, Leguizamo and Leary get paid as much as the shrek trio(Murphy. Myers, Diaz) and Toy Story duo(hanks, allen)? Because they should be making as much as them IMO with these kinds of #s.

New total - $677.2 million
It took a hard hit in Germany because of Up. But it's still #1 in Italy after four weeks.

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $677.2 million
Needs to pull in some really good holds to hit $700m, it'll fall just short if it continues like this.
Though never count this movie out, still amazes me how much its grossed. Thanks to those emerging markets.

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $677.2 million
Up's release in Europe is making sure this won't pass $700 million OS. However $690+ million should happen. Incredible run...
Probably one of the three most impressive overseas performances this decade.

Yeah, it's already beaten Da Vinci Code ($39.2m) for #2 all time USD.
Up could maybe get to #4 all time USD in Spain, as well. It's at #5 right now.

Up's performance in Spain is surprising. Not sure how that came about.

Some people have suggested the Spain/South American setting connection, but I'm not sure about that.
