 Re: Hulk
I would like to write a full review now...
I thought the movie was FANTASTIC!!!! and I'm pretty tired, so I'll give a quick review: I thought the HULK was easily the BEST Comic Adaptation I've seen since the Original Superman in 1978, in terms of it's Epic Quality and Scope to the movie.. I thought the environments and split screen panels worked great to give you the perspective of what's happening in 1 scene than another.. VERY COOL!!! and very unique.. The story flowed very well, despite listening to people whine about how the first hour was slow, it's called good character buildup and good storytelling, something that was missing from another so called blockbuster this summer called Reloaded.. Hell, you had it in Superman and Spiderman where you didn't sethe character for 45 minutes into the movie.. That certainly isn't a big deal and only a nitpick from people wanting to find flaw in this movie..
The CGI of the HULK was easily as good looking as Gollum, despite never getting a LOTR fan to admit it, but it was and you know it.. Hell, I'm even willing to admit there were a couple of shots in the movie that weren't quite there yet, but than again, so what?? That's what our technology currently has available and I'm easily pleased.. I can overlook alot of things unlike the nitpicky internet CGI Experts..
The Acting was SUPERB from everyone involved, including Nick Nolte who was an absolute delight, and very menacing, very convincing and over the top.. I loved it.. All villains are generally over the top anyway, right?? I thought the action in the movie was jaw dropping, especially the desert scene and the much scoffed at by the internet world, HULK DOGS, which really fit into the context of the story once you seen the movie, instead of all the whining about it for the last several months.. Brutal and down right intense.. I'm glad Ang Lee didn't cater to the kiddies in this movie.. Not everything has to be for the kiddies, but despite that, they'll still continue to see it anyway..
All in all, I give the HULK **** out of **** stars.. I really had no problem with any of this movie and thought it moved pretty fast for the most part, even at the running time of 2 hour and 20 minutes.. I also definitely dug the ending to.. Very satisfying and obviously a setup for HULK 2... 2 BIG THUMBS UP!!!!!!! This Movie will Open HUGE!!!!!
The Movie RULES.. PERIOD.. I just don't get what all this whining is about the first half cause even in Superman, even in Spiderman, you didn't see the character for 45-50 Minutes in the movie and you know it.. Get over it already.. To me, that's just a reason to find something to nitpick over, but then again, I shouldn't expect anything less from some of the internet world that slammed it from the getgo.. By the way, nice poll results.. Very interesting that I could have such a major affect on some people around here and I love it.. HULK gets **** out of 4..

I'm amazed that there are people here that didn't trash this movie immediately. I tried three times. Never got more than 20 minutes in. The most dull 20 minutes I've ever experienced.
That is not an exaggeration of any kind.

Too bad though as an expert and real fan of the HULK more than anyone around here, that this version didn't do this character justice, along with the bouncy rubbery feel the FX had, especially the desert scene with the HULK tumbling down the sand dune that looked like some of the worst CGI that really should've been deleted in that scene all together.. If Ang Lee hadn't of made this, you'd of shit on this as much as the next person.. It really does boil down to the fact that movie nerds are simply afraid to admit Ang Lee dropped the ball on this and Ed Norton's version was more spot on.. In the end for the like umpteenth time, you have 1 shot to make an impression and Ang Lee blew this to the point where moviegoers were on the fence to even give Norton's a chance.. Thanks alot Ang Lee, but life goes on boys..

This is based on every adult I showed this to before it came out.. Ferrigno and Bill Bixby were quite well known when this was on TV on friday nights and that's what the older folks related to.. It is unfortunate it didn't do better and I ate some serious crow and shit crow over my prediction for some time after that, but what can I say?? I blew it.. This is why I think BATMAN BEGINS will follow in suit with this movie in terms of it's Dark, Gloomy and depressing feel to it that might be great for the hardcore Batfans, but not for the casual moviegoer.. We shall see..

Because you don't backtrack from an A to an F, and that in a short period of time. I understand not liking something as much on second viewing, but this here goes too far. Why don't you watch THE LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT in a few months, maybe you backtrack from your first opinion and will give it this time an A, right? And even if a second version comes that is better than the first one, that doesn't mean you cannot still like the first one. Or do you hate the TV series too? That has even worse FX (make up) than either of the movies. Also, I dare you to find any instance where I have changed my movie opinion on this forum. And isn't it more immature to call people fuckers, douche bags, etc. than people using the HULK as it's basically the only movie you have ever admitted of seeing. I also dare you to find any of my posts where I insult you.

I also dare you to find any of my posts where I insult you. I BACKTRACK From An A to an F.. Maybe YOU don't but I damn well do and proud of it and Ang Lee's HULK went right from a goddamn A to a bloody fucking F for the main reason being I was so overhyped to see this movie at the time that it seemed only natural for this to outdo it, I so wanted this movie to beat SPIDERMAN like I predicted sometime back that I couldn't believe or want to believe it really was THAT bad and YES, it is and was.. Call it a case of denial, but it happens, excpet for apparently the KJ movie elite club where there 1st initial grades for movies stick and never change.. When Lucas came out with EPISODE 1 The Phantom Menace, did your grade for that stick the 1st time you saw it, the 1st time you were so hyped to see this piece of garbage that you were in a state of denial how fucking bad it was but were afraid to admit it?? That's how I was with Ang Lee's abortion known as The HULK.. Edward Norton is and was clearly more of a true fan to get it right than Ang Lee was which is why TIH was light years better, both in FX and story.. Hell the FX in TIH even look better than what we've seen in AVATARD.. As a matter of fact, if down the road they should happen to make an even better version of the HULK than what Norton did which was outstanding, I might even drop Norton's effort down a notch to, but I seriously doubt it'll ever be better than what Norton made, not even Cameron could make a better version unless he made the HULK blue.... So what??

 Re: Hulk
As much as I liked The Incredible Hulk, I highly doubt Cameron wouldn't have done better.
As for the Hulk, it has became one of my guilty pleasures. I love all the scenes where Hulk is involved but all those daddy-issues are boring as hell. And Jennifer Connelly probably never looked better than in this one.

 Re: Hulk
Just watched this again. While it is flawed, primarily due to one implosion of an ending, there's a lot to love. First and foremost, I think Danny Elfman's score for this is absolutely outstanding. And I'm actually surprised how well the effects have held up. Hell, even Nick Nolte chewing the scenary was funnier than I remembered. It's great to see a lot of KJ'ers Hulk!
