So do all who live to see such times, but that is not for them to decide. All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you

Because I wanted it and summer weather made it underperform. 300,000 should have been possible.

Quote: No. 3 on the weekend was 20th Century Fox's "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs," which garnered $14 million from 7,197 screens in 66 markets. Its overseas tally is $578.2 million, making the threequel this year's biggest foreign grosser to date, besting the latest "Harry Potter" by $36.4 million. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/hr/con ... 09efacc14dIA3 is a fuckin monster. It still has Italy and Korea to open! It will most likely bomb in korea but hopefully Italy will give another 25+M.

Wow, just wow! If Italy and SK will just repeat IA2 results than we can add 30.5M and at least 30M from holdovers. Right now it looks like it's a lock for 650M+

In Germany it is looking at around 200,000 admissions in its 6th weekend and should stand at over 7.7 million admissions by the end of the weekend. 8.5 million admissions seem very lilkely, making it the biggest film in Germany since...yep, Ice Age 2.

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $578.2 million
Yep, the battle is definately on for the biggest international gross. The edge is of course with Ice Age 3....$14m vs. $22m for Potter this weekend. Ice Age 3 is about $30m ahead of Potter this week...and it's clearly dropping much better with some big markets still to open. Ice Age 3 should clear $650m without much trouble whereas Potter is around the $630-$655m mark...... Ice Age 3 i think will end around $660-$680m....making it the largest international gross since ROTK. and will fight it out with HP1 as the 3rd largest international gross of all-time. Huge.

Ehh, 9 million I really doubt with the summer school break coming to an end nationawide soon...it'd need better late legs than Ice Age and Ice Age 2. The most I see is 8.7 million at this point...

Re: Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs (INTL.) - $578.2 million
South korea opening is very solid. It will beat IA2 for sure in Korea. NATM2 Japan opening is spectacular!! They shouldn't have released the movie date and date. Instead gradual release would have been better. It is so doing $240+M overseas and worldwide $400+M. Good.

Wow!
And it sitll has Italy ahead...$650 million seems like a near-lock now and it's definitely out of reach for Harry Potter overseas.

New gross.... Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs stands at $601.3m and opens in its final market of Italy on August 28. Seems like a huge drop from it's weekend take...though i just think this' incomplete.
