 Re: 500 Days Of Summer Will Be Nominated For Best Picture Club I would say thanks to its less than stellar box office thus far, 500 Days is in the 2nd tier of 10 possible BP nominees. Trek is probably in the 2nd or 3rd tier.

Also, Star Trek is the better film : )

Also, Star Trek is the better film : ) ST would have to not only be the better film but the best sci-fi film of the year and one of the best films of 2009 come the end of the year, to end up ahead of 500 Days on a chart. As much as I loved Trek (its in my top 4), I doubt the above is going to happen.

Fox Searchlight needs to get behind it. They can do wonders when they throw their support behind one of their movies, and SUMMER is beloved.

This statement has nothing to do with my percieved notions about the quality of the film. This simply isn't Oscar, not for a moment.
