The mods will address your claim within 24 hours, as promised.

My vote: s|nack is being a hater. if we were to hypothetically remove yoshue as a moderator, he would find another petty matter to whine about.

CLAIM DENIED.

(YOSHUE, zingy, Lecter, Christian, xiayun, MadGez, paper...your thoughts?)

zingaling's response was rude and not very serious. he should probably be removed as moderator as well, but don't make this my official statement.

OKAY SNACK, why don't you tell us why yoshue should be removed as a moderator. Cite examples. Tell me how he's any less active than my other moderators (like paper or MadGez and co)

I was worried at first, but I think yoshue is my best mod right now. Just because he doesn't want to talk to you doesn't mean he's a bad mod.

This is why you can't lend cresedence to every ounce of idiocy that finds it's way to "The Site." Some topics are meant to be locked, this is one of them.

So I see, and as the steady stream of absurd demands slowly change from a trickle to a downpour, maybe you will re-evaluate that stance.

Your being baited Tor. Agree with Eagle, you cant answer every frivolous thread made here. Lock.

Otherwise the decision is correct, no reason whatsoever for yoshue to be demoted.

No, I know. But I don't see a point in locking the thread. If we lock, people like snack just create additional threads to whine about the same shit + the fact that their original thread was locked.

Plus, it's very possible that a legit claim against yoshue could come up...I see no reason why we should LOCK the threads, they'll die on their own.

Idea? To Torrino Also.

Can a Thread by set up somewhere for each ADM & Mod so that all complaints/comments go into 1 thread for each. Or just make a seperate sub section for ADM/MOD complaints/comments and then people can post individual thread topics themselves.

I'm not sure what you're asking.

Is it...
1) We create threads like "yoshue complaints," "torrino complaints," etc?
2) We create sub-forums like "yoshue," "torrino," where all complaints can go?

I really don't like that idea, and I think it'll eliminate many posters from participating in "The Site" discussions.

The Site
Suggestions? Complaints? What can I improve?
Subforums: ADM/MOD Complaints & Comments, WoKJ Site Articles, WoKJ's Contests

Otherwise the Front Page will be a mess if everyone can set up individual threads on problems that don't get locked.

and people will see these when they go to new or active posts.

Your general idea is the right one Torrino, and I applaud you for it, but it doesn't mean you can't lock a thread. Should a legit claim against a mod be made, the thread should certainly be left open, discussion allowed, and your voting process followed.

However, you shouldn't unilaterally discount locking threads: some get off track, others get hijacked after a decision has been made, and in those instances, locking a thread simply ends a finished line of discussion.

In this instance you have a blatently irresponsibble claim made against a moderator, a claim without any merit where the acusor couldn't be bothered to even write a full sentance. If a claim is serious, by all means address it, but don't feed into people out to make a joke ... it just degrades the process.

Busy!

Been kicking the tires on how to make the main site of WoKJ relevant when I can find a spare hour to think, tis a difficult puzzle to solve, assuming of course this puzzle has an answer.

Speaking of which, Karl is it possible to take down the existing articles on the main site
and add a coming soon/under construction instead?

Well, regarding the above ... I had an idea, one I'm still fleshing out, but if it comes to fruition I would take down the main page of WoKJ and replace it with a temporary page with mystery content. We don't however want to remove articles, that just hurts our rank, leads to broken links, etc ... best to just leave it as is for now.

I've been working on something since last month, email me your mystery content idea, it could be the same thing.

Can't you just paint over what's on the main site without breaking links. I doubt anyone is looking for a TDK review.
