 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Congrats Scott for another outstanding score! And Levy as well!
Didn't really think I could place as well as I did after failing on the openers and My Sister's Keeper.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Ohmygosh. I can't believe I forgot to change my Public Enemies prediction. Originally I had it at $33.6 million, but lowered it to $27 million Wednesday night. Can't believe I didn't update the Derby.

Second victory ever, totally unexpected. Do they still give premier pass?

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
You would think being owned by IMDB they would be able to update their damn yearly charts...

Stellar scores, especially BJ, AF - robbed by one of the highest scores in derby's history.

I am literally shocked I got #17 despite my Bruno prediction. The top ten must be all KJers! (They aren't displayed yet)

3rd place - could have been better but Pelham and conservative prediction for Hangover hurt too much. Too bad yearly chart is still not updated.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
Did you guys know? "I'm sorry but we are no longer giving out prizes (besides bragging rights, of course) for the Derby game.
Best,
Sean Saulsbury Box Office Mojo"
I must say this is fucking ridiculous.

It's for fun anyway. Why do I need a prize?

ChipMunky wrote: It's for fun anyway. Why do I need a prize? YOU don't need anything. Giving away the monthly premier pass just was kinda nice thing to get, besides the "bragging rights", and it cost nothing to them (damn greedy bastards). For instance, the Russian site kinopoisk.ru gives away DVDs every week for US and Russian b/o derby games through Russian analogue of Amazon, and I think they still have some bigger prizes for the winners of the month (I won the month once and got the set of 2 first seasons of LOST). I think almost famous can tell you more about it.

 Re: Derby Game Discussion Thread
BOM is also a huge site that is now owned by IMDB. They can do what they want.

Yes, kinopoisk gives away DVDs every week for US and Russian box office games winners and also monthly prizes for both games (now you can pick anything you want up to 1500 roubles, slightly less than 50 USD). They might be far from perfect on other issues but here it is absolutely fair and consistent. I don't know what's the problem with BoM but Mr. R is totally right. This is ridiculous.
