So Fox is re-airing an American Idol episode this Monday - the Top 13 of Season 8 performing songs by Michael Jackson.

By artist, do we mean pop artist? If musical artist in general, there is only J.S. Bach.

With OJ we had DNA, bad alibis a glove and most importantly a guiloty verdict in a civil case. You have one criminal trial with an acquittal and a case that settled. You had a witness claim he molested Macualy Caulkin and other children who all denied it. The child was the son of the Maid. The maid also knew what Michael's penis looked like. Only 2 children I am aware ever laid the claim that he was innappropiate and it was there parents who made the claim. The mother also contradicted herself. The first case was civil if it was what they said why didn't they go criminal.....If you have a criminal verdict it is a slam dunk civil verdict. Whereas if you just want money you go civil and hope. No doubt the guy was weird nto a doubt in my mind about that. It is also possible but I think unlikely that he was guilty.
I have worked on enough trials to know that a settlement in civil court means nothing. It can be about saving money, bad press or both.
I would love to debate court proceedings, the level of guilt required for civil vs. criminal, and looking at the totality of all the circumstances and multiple cases (MJ) vs. a singular court trial/case (OJ), but we're going to get way off track here.
I don't want to derail the celebration of MJ, as I said a few pages back. Perhaps after this has died down in a few days we can debate the court cases and how they work. As for now, I'm going to slip into bed with a young boy, share some Jesus juice with him, and let him see my penis, in honor of MJ. I'm confident most will just see that as a little weird, nothing more, nothing less.
Lucky this guy's not in a position of authority!

I understand. My greatest fault is that I probably care about the welfare of children more than your average person. From 20 years of working with abused children and watching the damage it does to the kids, I tend to take it very seriously. Hence, my inability to shed a tear over Jackson. I've dealt with people like him, and recognize the common traits. So, while most of you can push aside his abusing children as being "eccentric" - I can't. It's a flaw of mine that I guess I'll have to live with.

Never said I was going to bed. I'm hours and hours and hours away from that!
While I think the point I'm raising - questioning the celebration of a celebrity who has very likely done terrible things to innocent children - is a legitimate point for the topic, I'm only responding to posts directed at me, or questioning my character for doing so.

Just with Movies, you can't compare numbers over different eras.
or then here are the greatest albums ever
and the Backstreet Boys are better than Chuck Berry and Frank Sinatra combined

Someone's brought up the inevitable Rule of Three right? I'm probably late to that discussion because I haven't read all the threads, but Jack-O made it three once again. It's such a creepy phenomenon.
