Re: WoKJ Admin Election - User Discussion
I fully expect this topic to be locked before anyone actually gets a chance to read and reply to this but I feel this is a topic that should be discussed. This election is a farce. Eagle has asked "his" candidates to act logically, ethically, and to be mature when he does none of the following. Was it logical to let Argos run for office? probably not. Was it logical to even have this election? probably not. Was it ethical to kick argos out after he got the votes? no. Was it mature? no. Was it ethical for him to ban both argos and guybrush until after this election is over? no. Was it mature? no. The simple fact is eagle's ineptness is at astounding levels. Arsi and Loyal should be saddened with the state that eagle has led this site too. This election is about as fair as Iran and Eagle is about equal to the Ayatollah.

Re: WoKJ Admin Election - User Discussion
It was clearly laid out in the original thread that after the nomination process any user the owners didn't feel fit would be removed.
It was also clearly laid out that any user posting in the stump thread would be banned, in fact, it was discussed IN the thread by the offending posters who mocked it and then continued to post anyways.

Sorry Eagle, you have no place to talk. Yes, I know its your site blah blah blah. But you have shown the poorest judgment of anyone through this entire process. This whole election has become an even bigger joke than it was when you first announced it.

Ohgod, please get over it, he said that this was a learning process, dont expect him to know how to handle this correctly when he says this is the first time he's doing this. I'm sure next time e'll do a better job.

Eagle owes Guybrushx and Argos an apology and I think he should give them the site as a present, because he doesn't deserve it and can't handle it properly anymore. He will live in a wheelchair, because his ligaments will not function anymore. He will sit on a deserted island with only one palmtree in the center and think of his deeds until his light is shut off. Fin.

Corpse's mod team is made up of her friends who hardly post here/just joined. I mean John Savage, seriously? Explain how he deserves to be a mod over 2 dozen other posters here you left of the list? Corpse wrote: Just trying to create more drama, which is what KJ so does not need. You are telling somebody else not to create drama? Aint that ironic.

Re: WoKJ Admin Election - User Discussion
The problem, Corpse, is that you're not at all showing that the mod team you selected is qualified. The fact is that they are your buddies. And they do talk a bit of trash on WoKJ. And you've given them positions in your administration, if you win. You say, "well, they post here. They care." But what makes them qualified to become moderators?
Our proposed mod staff is made up of people who are generally respected at WoKJ, post frequently, and have been around for more than one year.
They do have the right to vote here, though.

I don't think eagle has done a great job here with this election and I think he has made some serious mistakes but if you don't like it, go somewhere else.

Re: WoKJ Admin Election - User Discussion
I've been gone all this week (Vegas, baby!), and was a little behind on what was happening here to begin with. So, I did a little catching up.
It's awfully trusting of Eagle to essentially turn his forum over to somebody of our choosing, with very few exceptions. Clearly it was done with great intentions, and is not something you'd see very often at a site. He deserves an awful big kudo for doing that.
Unfortunately, so far I'm not sure we've done a great job at proving this was a wise move on his part, and hopefully we can pull it together for the home stretch. Part of the problem may be you'd have to be a little crazy to want to oversee our disfunctional ass. So, our candidates have one screw loose to begin with.
On the good side, I saw a lot of serious discussion on who would be best for the site, and it's clear we all care about the welfare and long term success.
As for the election, I think Torrino would be a great pick, and that's who I'll be voting for. I do think Corpse has been making some attempts to be a much better member from the earlier drama, but personally I'd like to see a little more long term (more than 6 months) commitment to that before I'd feel good about him being an admin. But, I'd be willing to bet that both would take it very seriously, and do their best.
That's just my two cents on the whole thing so far!

Re: WoKJ Admin Election - User Discussion
This whole election was one fucking idiotic idea, and the fact that Corpse is even in consideration is ample proof of that.
Corpse is the worst thing to have happened to this forum. She is an embarrassment to all of us, and to humanity at large.
