Didn't like the Chinese mafia character and over-the-top depiction there. Finding myself agreeing with yoshue that certain parts are kind of hateful. But the plot is generally funny, and I was still pretty engaged overall. B.

The Hangover
I've seen it twice so I love love it. When I first saw it I thought the Mr. Chow character was over the top, but the second time around it blends in well especially with the end montage. I enjoyed all the characters. Wasn't too keen on the tasering stuff the first time but the second time I let myself enjoy it more. Overall, it's extremely entertaining, wom is just deservered and I hope it continues to make more cash. Zach Galifrakas is genius and the whole team is fantastic.

 Re: The Hangover
"You guys might not know this, but I consider myself a bit of a loner. I tend to think of myself as a one-man wolf pack. But when my sister brought Doug home, I knew he was one of my own. And my wolf pack... it grew by one. So there... there were two of us in the wolf pack... I was alone first in the pack, and then Doug joined in later. And six months ago, when Doug introduced me to you guys, I thought, "Wait a second, could it be?" And now I know for sure, I just added two more guys to my wolf pack. Four of us wolves, running around the desert together, in Las Vegas, looking for strippers and cocaine. So tonight, I make a toast!"

YES
But you missed the one of the greatest parts of the speech... "Hello! How 'bout that ride in? I guess that's why they call it Sin City." Just the fact he mostl likely wrote this before they even left makes it even more hilarious.

 Re: The Hangover
The best part was the hilariously inappropriate wedding singer. Zach Galifianakis pretty much made the movie. Not a huge fan of the overall work, though. I'd probably give it a B/B-.

Funniest movie I have seen in quite a while. Probably since Tropic Thunder.
Having just returned from Vegas - and having the exact same experiences - it made it that much better.

 Re: The Hangover
7/10 -> B-
I didn't expect a lot from it, as I'm not a fan of this particular type of humor, but it was much better than some similar movies, like the mentioned Old School which is dreadful.
I'm with those that this is more of a chuckle movie rather than laugh one. The theater was packed (probably 95% full which is weird for a movie in 3rd or 4th - I'm not really sure - weekend here.) and everyone laughed but I was just never really THAT convinced the scenes were funny. I thought the actors could've done a much better job than they did. Most of the times I didn't laugh was because I felt the scene delivery lacked.
Mike Tyson cameo is he worst part of the movie IMO. Not funny at all and MT's "acting" was dreadful.
Overall the movie is good. The ending credits are pure gold and hit all of the aces. I laughed hard during those. If only I found the movie itself that good.

 Re: The Hangover
Yeah, I can't really understand the hateful/offense outlook. It's a pretty crude film, but so are 90% of comedies these days. I didn't find this any more offensive than Funny People or Tropic Thunder, and certainly not nearly as offensive as Bruno, or Step Brothers. Not that any of those films offended me in the slightest.

 Re: The Hangover
If you got offended by the Hangover, you really are easily offended. Someone could say they hated the color the red to you when you were wearing a red shirt, and the people who found this offensive would go cry in the closet

 Re: The Hangover
- Point at a fat character who fell down and say 'it's funny because he's fat' - Making an Asian character to be some kind of 'stupidly over-the-top' (why does this character has to be an Asian?) - Calling a woman 'a whore' just because she makes a living by stripping - The baby masturbation scene - The scene with taser gun
etc.

If anything the baby masturbating scene is one of the greatest scenes of all time.

Did Heather Graham's character say she was an escort who strips in order to meet clients?
