I think they are pointless and idiotic, its easier and makes more sense to be specific if your looking for an RT watch thread or theater counts, etc, these summation threads and silly and obnoxious.
Plus I'm not running for the admn position, so my opinion doesn't matter that much.
Oh, and grill, would you please provied the names of all ten people that are the consistent group that don't like your threads, (and I will take this oppurtunity to mention the facts that I joined in December 08, and that there are only about 30 active posters on this site, so 1/3 of the people here have a problem with you/your threads, you don't find that to be a significant amount?)

When you bump a thread, there is no need to designate it as bumped. We know what you were doing and do not read the bumped portion anyway. I have tried and it is nearly incomprehensible and usually riven with colorful lettering, asterisks, and greater/less than signs.

Argos -- essentially the same thing as torrino, but Argos explains himself through scholarly journal-length posts
Goldie -- will take KJ into the 25th century
Corpse -- doesn't think Goldie is an issue, will limit Goldie's thread-making capability, even though this probably isn't possible from a technical standpoint and would over burden mods
