I don't have anything against you at all, and so far you appear to be the best option here by far, so...... (I'm secretely hoping corpse or mike or christian will run, but they aren't popping up yet)
Anyway I think the savage haters have boiled down to just Snack, Munky, Gullimont, and be.ready on weekends. (Argos certainly doesn't like me but he generally treats me with the mild disdain he has for almost everyone, rather than a specific dislike.)

A PROCLAMATION

I, Argus Panoptes, guardian of Io and son of Arestor, do hereby announce and declare that it is my volition to run for President of the World of KJ.

You know me, as I have never in the past made any pretence of my positions: and never in the future shall I begin an endeavor that interferes with my principles. Let it thus be known and utterly clear that my loathings are simple: stupidity, oppression, crime, cruelty, soft music; furthermore, that my pleasures are the most intense known to man: writing and butterfly hunting.

One year ago, a great man, whose judgment had been impeccable until then, decided to venture a change, a restructuring of power. It was a gift to the World of KJ and, for reasons fully conceived by but few people, a necessity of some kind. This momentous decree, designed to become a great beacon light of hope, eventually came as a murk of withering injustice. It fell as a long night of imbecility upon the candles of freethought and keen conversation. Verily, there is a name to this blackness, but never in my life again shall I speak it nor let my mind drift into the agony of contemplating the horrors of these dark days.

What I have to offer as President of the World of KJ, however, is little, is nothing but light, liberty and the freedom of expression; for these ends are the butterflies of our hearts, the happiness which we pursue: and cruel oppression shall not hold them in captivity where they have woefully endured for the tide of this long year.

Now, I say unto you that I happen to have witnessed one of my fellow candidates in certain situations of pressure, when the burden to decide and act immediately lay upon his shoulders, situations in which he failed to do the right, where he operated, not in the shadows, yet within the smothering vapor of rage. It is, therefore, my firm hope that you, the people of the World of KJ, are, like me, unwilling to leave the darkness that lies behind us only to enter another one – one that, if any different, merely sheds a new perfume.

I am, hence, confident that, on the first day of July, all persons held as slaves within any state will recognize themselves as being free, inasmuch as they have voted for me, Argus Panoptes, a man who, in contrast to other boys and girls, is inclined to be their guardian and savior.

Eagle, you may have said this before, but is there a narrowing down process. Because right now everybody will just vote for themselves, and me and libs will and a few oddities from somewhere that come around once a week will be the only people not running.

grill has a good point here. Eagle, is their a way to prevent people from using 9 duplicate ids to vote for themselves. People could win just because they have the most duplicate personalities.

I am not running as well. I dont think I know everyone well enough to run plus I dont think I can handle the crazy job.I am hoping someone who is serious and determined about the job gets it. Looking at this thread it looks like other way around.

I dont know everyone that well as I dont post that much outside box office forum. But I think magnus/corpse could get the job done.

One thing I would like is "candidates" seriously give their plans. I think at times there are too much personal insults thrown around in the name of freedom of speech. That kind of makes several threads quite ugly.
